Lola comes dragging in from her upstairs study. She is feeling sick and has little energy. Sore throat is bad.

"I think I'll have to go up to bed early again, guys. I'm not feeling well," says Lola. "If Wassau comes by, will you tell him I'll be down to see him at the cafe tomorrow? And HIAMA, lovely story. Thanks for it."

Lola has decided to visit Cafe 101 tonight. She's made another silly mistake and posted the Cafe under the wrong forum. You'll find it under word games and trivia for now. Hopefully it will get moved to the proper forum soon.

Lola, Patti and I do appreciate your offer to come for dinner. We thought about it and really want to - however, we are expecting old friends from California shortly and I'll let BillW and Kay tell you about the floor in our home. BillW and his wife stopped by during their travels and we had an absolutely wonderful time together. You're going to love them both. But, the floor must be finished before our company arrives. We would love to get together for lunch sometime though. BillW and I were talking about how nice it would be to have a real Dallas gathering. We shall see how the thought turns out.

OK Danon. I know life takes precidence sometimes. We'll miss you. But lunch sometime when you and Patti aren't finishing your floor or expecting guests sounds like fun. And a real Dallas gathering sounds great to me. See you and Stradee at the cafe later.

spurred on, Dys climbed out of his XK 150s onto the back of a high necked Arabian and headed east into the damp sunrise of an east tejas morning. Fence cutters in hand, he managed to moneywrench 400 miles of F150's, Suburbans and A.C. Bristol Cobras in the quest of lunch. Its not so much the Tuna melt as it is the company we keep.

looks like a passel of rounders fer sure dys says, i think i might just fit right in. danon makes some cowboy coffee while dys takes his boots off. Lola sips anisette eyeing Dys with suspicion. Stradee wolfs down a sloe gin fizz.

'Here's a real good cup a coffee dys.' said danon, 'Hope ya enjoy it, oh yeah, here's a spoon.'

Lola comes in from the kitchen, dressed for dinner. She's hungry and invites everyone to sit down in the dining room.

She sees Wilso and says, "Wilso, nice to see you here. We're nicer here than on some threads we know of. Have a seat and I'll get Henry to come over. He's a Chemistry prof at NYU."

Walking to the dining room with Stradee, Dyslexia, HIAMA and Danon, Lola says, "after all the excitment in the park today, I'm pooped. The protest march ended in Washington Square Park (right across the street) and 42 people were arrested. Some cops were sprayed with mace and a good time was had by all."

"Yes, that's so, I saw it. But, I never really could grasp the incentive involved with the individuals who actually thought they were accomplishing something relating to a constructive act by doing that. It borders on an idiopathic idiocy syndrome. Or so it apparently seems. Of course there are varient varier views and/or opinions. Each is interesting." said Scorpion.

"I think," says Lola, "that it's all done in the good spirit of the 60s. I personally think a good peaceful demonstration is far better than one that ends in mace spraying and arrests. But some apparently don't agree. Here you go Scorpion, have a treat."

Dys, wearing a yellow hard hat sits on a stool in the corner away from the light. He is quitely singing "home on the range" attempting to create a mental fog having given up on the idea of coping. nihism was for optimists he thinks wondering if the rose in the vase tastes as sweet as it smells.
