"Hey, Lola.... There's nothing to gossip about..... but, hopefully, Lightwizard will give us something to gossip about..... Did you see the car he's driving? The Wizardmobile? I hear it can fly!!"

Peace&Love wanders over to the piano and starts playing a blues tune. She watched a program on TV this morning called "Deep Blues" and she's been listening to Keb Mo while working today, so she's in the mood for some real honest blues.

Tickling the ivories, PaL closes her eyes, starts swaying and singing "Every Morning", by Keb Mo....

"Every morning, and every evening,
Every day I, I think of you,
The way you love me,
Through and through.

And when I'm with you, it feels like heaven
You're an angel, holding me,
Your sweet sweet lovin',
It sets me free.

And in my wildest imagination,
I could never imagine you,
Lovin' me as much as,
As I do you.

And it may be winter, it may be fall,
I might have plenty, or nothin' at all,
But baby, I'll be there,
Whenever you call.

'Cause every morning, and every evening,
Every day I, I think of you,
The way you love me,
Through and through.

The way you love me,
Through and through."

Yes PaL this can be the theme song of the salon! I love that song. I've just come in from the book store. I've bought a copy of the Canterbury Tales so I can keep up with the literate among us.

Lola, Peace and Love and I wil be more than happy to help you tuck in the LightWizard. Maybe we can get him to tell us a bedtime story and then we will sing him to sleep with Every Morning.

Did you see those back flips? I didn't know he had it in him! Hmmm, a man of many talents.

< milling.... on her slow dial-up connection at home... maybe typing faster will help >

< running over to the staircase >

"Oh, Dear, LightWizard!! Your head is turned at an odd angle and your leg is twisted through the railings on the bannister. Uh Oh, Here comes Jack. He's going to give you doggie kisses. I'll try to distract him with a frisbee."

PaL pulls a large chewed-up yellow frisbee out of her back pocket, tosses it down the long hallway, barely missing an expensive-looking vase.

"Oops. Whew. HeeHee. Sorry, Lola."

"OK, LightWizard, let's see if we can get you untwisted."

PaL is suddenly reminded of a Joni Mitchell song, "Twisted". She makes a mental note to self to find the music and lyrics for that song.

"Can you feel your legs? What day is it today? Who is the President? Oh, Dear, I hope he doesn't have a concussion!"

Lightwizard says, "Who's calling me twisted!" Shocked

"How did they know that!" Laughing

"And you were suppose to call for the Wizardambulancemobile and what shows up?"

Outside a vehicle is double parked beside Jespah's Hummer which can't carry a tune by the way. It's the WizardSnapOnToolsMobile.

LW pleads, "I would have appreciated the wet rag wiping the face bit if it weren't one of Fifi's dirty dish rags and I hope you're not planning on wrenching me out of this predicament."

Ok, LW, if you prefer the attentions of the WizardSnapOnToolsMobile, or the WizardAmbulanceMobile, I'll call Withers and ask him to send up the paramedics. Are you sure you don't want to stay here with Diane, PaL and I? We will read you stories while you recuperate.

Now you know what I mean when I say I'm tooling around in the Wizardmobile!

I'll be patient and here's "The Two Towers" as I'm rereading the books to better critique the next "Lord of the Rings" movie. In the meantime, could someone move my left foot out of my right eye?

PaL lifts LW's left foot, in an attempt to move it away from his head. LW's other leg suddenly frees itself from the railings of the bannister, which causes LW to roll back down the staircase.

"Oops! Sorry, LightWizard. Now you've really tied yourself into a knot."

As LW wiggles around, trying to untie himself, PaL picks up his copy of "The Two Towers", which she has been planning to re-read before seeing the movie. She re-read "Fellowship Of The Ring" before seeing the movie, and was very glad that she had.

LW begins to roll down the hallway, still looking like a knot. He pauses just before the tall thin stand that holds the expensive-looking vase, pushes himself to the opposite side of the hallway, and continues rolling.

Lola, watching her vase with wide eyes, whispers in a relieved tone of voice, "Thank you for your consideration, LightWizard. Is there anything I can get for you?"

PaL has settled herself onto the third stair of the staircase, reading LW's copy of "The Two Towers". She glances up just long enough to see LW roll himself into the living room, and calling over his shoulder (or maybe over his leg?), "Oh, no, Lola. I'm just fine, thanks! Well, actually, perhaps you might know someone who can untie a knot?"

In the living room, where several of Lola's regular guests have gathered for a morning cup of coffee, the conversation stops as LightWizard rolls into the room.

"Coffee?"

"Oh, yes, please, I would love a cup of coffee. Perhaps you could find my mouth and hold the cup for me? I think I'm here, under myself, somewhere....."

I see I've been busy while I was, um, busy. :-D

"Golly, we may need boy scouts to untie Mr. Wizard! Or maybe sailors! They're good at knots. I hear Fifi hangs around at the docks, but that might just be a nasty rumor.

Here, I'll take Jack outside and play frisbee. Hey, Jack! Go long!" says jes, taking Jack to the fenced back yard with the exquisite garden.

Jespah's always getting me out of a jam -- the last time it was in a jazz club when I inadvertantly drove the Wizardmobile up to a table.

Lola to the rescue.............

Lola arrives with some of her boy scout friends, who help LW to his feet. Thanking them, Lola awards LW with a tool belt, which is an emblem of rank among the denizens of Lola's Salon.

LW loads his belt with tools from his WizardSnapOnToolsMobile and accepts the cup of coffee offered to him by Jeffers. Jespah asks LW to join her on the sofa for a chat and Lola heads back up the stairs to see what P&L and Diane are up to.

PaL and Diane are sitting on the comfy chairs on the upstairs landing.

"Hey, Lola.... where's the BoyScouts? Gone? Too Bad..... We could have found some more knots..... <giggle>..... Oh well, another day, perhaps..... They were kinda cute..... <giggle>....."

"Jespah went out back earlier, to throw the frisbee for Jack. I don't think she realized that Jack is tireless. He'll play frisbee non-stop for the entire day. Poor Jes might need some Boy Scouts to massage the muscles of her throwing arm!!... <giggle>...."

"Yes. I sent the Boy Scouts on their way. Funny how they just happened to knock on the door at just the moment that we needed them. How do they do that?"

"I'm sure we'll need them again. Do the Boy Scouts sell cookies?"

"How's LightWizard feeling? He spent quite some time on the stairs and then tied up in a knot."

"Well, he seems to be fine. Bounced right back. Literally. Before the Boy Scouts untied him, he accidently rolled onto the little trampoline that we keep in the little side room. He was bouncing around like a beach ball. The Boy Scouts had to thow a huge fishing net over him, to stop the bouncing. Luckily, we had a huge fishing net in the other little room."

"Let's go downstairs and join the guests."

"Be careful on the stairs."

"Do I smell bagels?"

Jes says "What"!!! as we all head for the door, drinks flying everywhere, the
boy by the window avoids a collision by jumping atop the piano as Jes PAl Blath Lola and Stradee all reach the door at once trying to look Cool feeling a bit silly - they finally squeeze through the door and shoot down the stairs like projectiles shot from a gaffling gun!

As PaL is running toward the door, she looks over at Stradee(onmymarc) and waves both arms in the air while calling out, "Hey Stradee! Good to see you here!"

The thunderous running footsteps in the hallway cause the vase, on the tall thin stand, to jump up and down precariously. Somehow, everyone avoids bumping into the stand and the vase settles back down, although slightly off-center.

Mouths hanging open, shoulders shrugged, palms lifting upwards, the entire group is standing on the sidewalk, staring at the empty place where The Hummer was parked.

"This is New York City!! We can run faster than a car can drive through traffic!! Let's run up the street!! We can jump into the Hummer and catch the thief!!"
