Graham, You couldn't be the Graeme of Graeme.Rimer at the Armory in Leeds would you?? I know York isn't that far away from Leeds. He helped me with an old gun barrel which has marks on it from proofing in the Tower of London. Very nice chap.

Oh, and a hearty welcome to A2K to you.

Graham,

Welcome to A2K and to the salon. Make yourself at home. If you need something, ask Withers and he'll make sure you are made as comfortable and pleased as is possible.

Graham, watch out for the octopussy she has 8 arms and will tie you in knots before you know what day of the week it is.

Welcome and have one of these 9 cognacs whilst Octopussy is in the ladies powdering her 3 noses.

Speaking of nose powdering, I've been off doing that for a looooooong time and I'm BACK!

What's going on? Where are we headed? Anything exciting going on? :-)

Marycat, where have you been? I hope all is well. I was a little worried. But never mind me. I'm just a silly worry wart.

Good to see ya back again.

Where shall we go? Is it time for an adventure?

Marycat apparently came face to face with a lot of red peppers recently. She must be a little hot under the stem about it. Uh, not that she isn't hot under the stem from any other point of view.

Withers!! A Zipfer Urtyp bitte.... And not TOO cold if you please.

Anyone want to go for a ride? The Wizardmobile has been stocked with plenty of St. Francis 1978 Merlot, some Roederer Crystal Champagne and Bombay Sapphire Gin. We can head out for Malibu and watch the surf (okay, Gautam, I know -- the surfers) or dine high on the cliff over La Jolla bay. I need a break -- Craven lives in San Diego so we could lure him to the La Valencia hotel and force pate de foir gras on caviar crackers on him. He might forget he has a site to run. Oh well, after a few Bombay martinis, he'll be a sight.

I'll bring the beer!! And, of course, from the tiny village of Cognac, the very spirit itself. A good mix of Martell, Hennessy, Otard, Remy Martin, Salignac, Polignac and Larsen. For the heartier souls, an Armagnac from the South of France. And, for the ladies, a nice mix of Eau-de-vie to choose from.

Oh, oh, I'm coming! Just let me finish packing my suitcase!

I'm bringing an armful of fresh baguettes from the bistro to enjoy with our drinks, if that is acceptable to all...? Did anyone pack glassware? We'll need goblets, flutes, snifters, mugs and martini glasses...

The wizardmobile!!! Yay! It's so lucky I made it back in time to hitch a ride on the wizardmobile. As usual, he's well-stocked and ready to roll.
Danon, will you have the pictures at the Texas gathering? It sounds like a dream vacation.
Ah this is nice, I don't usually have much time for a2k these days. Withers, some mocha latte and a croisant, please, while I sit here with dear friends and relax for a change. Mmmmmm.

Danon, is Zipfer available in Texas? I haven't seen it.

Lola, thanks for worrying about me. Aw shucks! Things have been wacky, but I'm working on it!

So, where and when are we going? I'd like to go someplace quiet, relaxing, and by the ocean. Withers, a Patron Anejo margarita please, on the rocks and lightly salted. Aaaaahhh.

marycat, About the only place that may have Zipfer beer is Central Market in Austin. Love that place!! If not, Shiner Bock is a really good german like beer - it's better straight from the frig and not too 'iced'.

Diane, We won't make the Texas gathering this time, but intend to make the next one. I'll upload lots of the best pictures to the MyFamily site run by elio (husker).

I want to go aboard the old sailing vessel there in the harbor - I think it's the China Star, but not sure. I went through it in '72. Also, the Aviation Museum is really one of the best I've seen - San Diego is where the Spirit of St. Louis was made.

Quiet and relaxing by the ocean. Great idea!! Love that salt water smell!!

<Lola dressed in black satin and high heel sandals, hurries down the stairs to join the others>

Oh, everyone, wait up.......where are we going? San Diego? You think we can talk Craven in to coming along? We could have a real adventure.....take in the sights, drink and eat Alice B. Toklas brownies and smooze and tickle. Or how about Mexico? Or Canada? Or Germany?

LightWizard, you're the driver and the WizardMobile has it's own mind. Maybe we should just all jump on board and see where the lovely little machine takes us.

<cant keeps his eyes off lola, the surfers are now feeling ignored>

The only drink I can drink in this heat (and pls dont faint with shock) is still water and ice with a twist....

errrr....ok, a Pimms with Ginger beer and lots of citrus fruits would also do.

GW, can you drive a bit slow though ?

Ah, a Pimm's Cup sounds good -- used to drink those at the old Cock N' Bull on the Sunset Strip (no, Gautam, it wasn't a gay bar).

I don't have much control -- all you have to do is tell the Wizardbusmobile (had to stretch it to give everyone elbow room) where you want to go and Voila!

I have lots of Spam for fuel but I do need more old soap opera scripts. Anyone got some All My Children scripts? They burn really hot. They also cause everyone in the vehicle to become more sensual, as if this crowd needed it.
