He's there talking about very serious stuff and he's got this big dumb ass grin from ear to ear and if I didn't know any better, I'd think the man was always drunk.
Either that or he's got to be on prescription pills.
I'm just waiting for the man to open his mouth one day and actually say "duh"! Just look at him and you can see he wants to.

He's not drunk. Sorry you don't like his face, but your personal taste has nothing to do with the correctness or incorrectness of his policies.

The percentages of liberals vs conservatives on the board has no bearing on whether the president is a liar. I think you're describing mob rule. Only the ability of accusers to give quotations coupled with proof that they're lies is relevant.

Montana didn't say he was drunk. No wonder you can't understand that Bush is a liar considering your lack of comprehension skills.

Debra LAW's always masterful posts again ring out with excellent points.

She asserts that Republicans are in denial. With her prodigious talent, she is, of course, able to ascertain that. Perhaps she reads some of their writings and comes to the conclusion that Republicans are in denial.

There are two points to be made here:

The accusation that people are in denial may only be in the mind of the accuser and not the accused.

Republicans accused Democrats for being in denial about William Jefferson Clinton's Obstruction of Justice prior to the discovery of the incontroverbial evidence based on the DNA findings.

The Democrats denied being in denial.

The only person who was ever really in denile was President Nassar, when the Israealis pushed his corpulent carcass into the Nile after Israel destroyed the Egyptian Air Force.

Bullshit. People don't believe Bush. Everyone save the delusional knows he is not to be believed. What other standard can there be? We are not holding a trial where the rules of evidence apply. He is not being tried for perjury, The only standard to gauge whether or not someone is a liar is whether or not people believe he or she lies.

Bush is a liar. End of story.

I have rarely read such an intelligent and incisive post which logically shows that President Bush lied as the one presented by Montana.

It is so compelling that I made a copy!

Roxxxanne. Your standard is flawed. There are many many instances in which people made a judgment that someone lied and they were proven to be incorrect.

Let us begin with Galileo.

There are hundreds of others!

The language is compelling too isn't it? So compelling that I run the opposite direction from such opinions even faster.

"Cannot be correct?" I beg to differ. It may not be correct, but I believe that it is.

One might try providing some support for one's argument, should one wish to be treated seriously. Not that I think you do.

Drew Dad- Do you dispute the definition of racism as laid down below? It is from a standard dictionary.

If you do not, and you accept the definition, please re-read my post. I am opposed to the idea of inherent characteristics.

I am sorry you did not understand my post.

Drew Dad--May I respectfully point out that your comment about "racism" cannot be correct. If you are aware of the meaning of racism, you would be aware that Racism is defined as "the doctrine that INHERENT DIFFERENCES among the various human races determine cultural achievement".

My post does not ascribe the usual failure of minorities in our Universities to receive higher grades. I would never take that position. My position is that culture is the main reason for the failure of minorities to achieve, NOT INHERENT DIFFERENCES.

If you really wish to learn about this suibject, please access the writings of Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Steven Pinker in "The Blank Slate" or Mr. Shelby Steele.

I do not care to debate the matter; I now believe you to be a racist based upon that (unsubstantiated) post.

Anywho... Care to finally address Mr. Bush's deliberately misleading statement during his 2003 State of the Union Address regarding Iraq seeking nuclear material?

Is that always the fallback position for libs? Accuse the opposition of racism. Typical.

Oh, but the face tells so many interesting things about a person. For example: Even when the Ice Man talked about all the people he killed, he only smiled a few time, but when Bush talks about Iraq, he's always smiling and I'm sorry if it upsets you Brandon, but only a very sick, twisted person would smile when he has so very much blood on his hands.

I work with an Iraqi couple who came to Canada 14 years ago and I personally wasn't surprised at all to find that they are normal people just like us. Their names are Sarah and Mohamad (spelling ?). Sarah thinks I'm very nice and Mohamad thinks I'm funny. They talk just like we do, except for the accent and they even have a great sense of humour.
They are terribly worried about their whole family, who they left behind in Iraq and rightfully so, but they are treated no differently than anyone else here in Canada. They do like it here very much and I'm glad they came here instead of the states because I don't think they would treated so kindly over there.
Sarah and Mohamad have become my friends and somehow I imagine that there are countless of people just like them back in Iraq, but you go ahead and believe Bush's lies, while he continues to kill innocent people.
I hope Sarah and Mohamad's family is able to survive Bush's blood bath, while Bush sit's back with this never ending smirk!

Well there, I could always repeat everything everyone else posted about Bush's endless lies, if you would like.

I don't have to be back to work until Monday ;-)

Are you denying the existence of racism? Don't be a fool.

I've encountered this poster in the past. My opinions are my own; I do not insist that others share them.

Fist of all, I'd like to remind you that Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator who ruled with an iron first, and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis, not to mention his routine use of torture.

People have been starting wars for the entire history of the human race, so the idea that war is some bad idea that President Bush invented is silly. The mere fact that he initiated a war and there are civilian deaths in the war does not show that he has acted improperly, since it does not differentiate him from any of the immense number of rulers in recent history who started a war. In fact, historically, wars have usually been initiated merely because the initiating country thought it could benefit in some way.

Your idea that the President lied to start the war is unproven, and, I believe false. He correctly stated that the probability that Iraq was still hiding its WMD and programs was unacceptably high and had to be resolved. Had Iraq been doing so, a million people could have died should those weapons have been used.

In the end, your statement that he must be bad because you don't like his appearance or manner is the sort of criticism anyone could level at anyone, and proves nothing.

Your assertion that some kind of informal count you've done here proves that the president is a liar is ludicrous. The only thing that proves someone is a liar is showing that he lied. If you could do that in even one single post, you would have succeeded, but taking a poll as to how many people are on which side is irrelevant.

Bush shows his SICK and TWISTED character often enough that sane people ought to be utterly shocked, ashamed, and frightened that this madman is sitting in our White House instead of an institution for the criminally insane. The morbid manner in which Bush mocked Karla Faye Tucker----on a national television broadcast----should have been enough to convince people that he was UNFIT for public office. I'm sure he tries to hide from public the view the utter ugliness of his soul, but his psychotic twistedness so consumes him as a person that it seeps out of every pore in his body and contorts his face . . . and, as Montana noted, it creeps people out.
