Brandon 2000- Saddam had WMD's. It's a fact.

Find "Transcript: President Clinton explains Iraq strike"

CNN published it.

Clinton references WMD's in Iraq hands over and over and over.

In this entire long thread, which I believe you started, Brandon 2000( Thank You- no one- NO ONE - has rebutted any of the quotes I gave from Clinton when he stated that Iraq had WMD's.

I will repeat what the left does not wish to acknowlege with a quote from William Jefferson Clinton who said in his speech of Dec. 28, 1998, that Iraq had WMD's

Quote:

"First, without a strong inspection system, Iraq would be free to RETAIN and begin to rebuild its chemical, biological and nuclear weapons programs in months, not years"

AND

"The credible threat to use force, and when necessary, the actual use of force, is the surest way to contain Saddam's weapons of mass destruction program, curtail his aggression and prevent another Gulf War>"

WHY DO YOU THINK THAT THE LEFT WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THESE QUOTES FROM THE LEADER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN 1998, BRANDON 2000?

Because if they did, it would destroy thier entire argument about President Bush and WMD's

But< I must make an addition to those who think that the White House "invented" the intelligence about WMD's.

The intelligence agencies of both Germany and France believed that Iraq possessed WMD's when President Bush made his statement about WMD's being present in Iraq.

Brandon 2000, I invite any of the left wing to show that is incorrect.

They won't because they can't.

You continually assert that we're in denial, but never substantiate it. I can assert that you're an axe murderer, and it makes you sound very bad, but if I just say it without proving it, it's meaningless. An unsubstantated claim that your opponent has this or that negative quality doesn't advance your case.

Yeah Brandon - its a valid comparison between me being an axe murderer and George Bush being a liar. And that is not a silly and desperate sounding stretch. And Bush's lies are just as unsubstantiated as is my axe-murderer status. And the strategy for victory in Iraq is clear and victory is just around the corner.

Do you have a link, snood, or do you often speak extemporaneously without notes like Reverend Sharpton or Ted Kennedy?

According to Colbert, that 29 percent is backwash.

Sure, if you want to look at the glass as half-empty. Remember, we're doing good over there. The Iraqi people are free, free I tell you, except for those armed gangs running around.

Speaking of that half-empty glass, here's what Colbert said:

Quote:
Now, I know there are some polls out there saying this man has a 32% approval rating. But guys like us, we don't pay attention to the polls. We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in "reality". And reality has a well-known liberal bias.

So, Mr. President . . . pay no attention to the people who say the glass is half empty, because 32% means it's 2/3 empty. There's still some liquid in that glass, is my point. But I wouldn't drink it. The last third is usually backwash.

l. There is a great deal of "grade inflation". (The reasons for this have to do mainly, but not exclusively with affirmative action. You can't flunk minority students so students who do better than they do must get A's so that the inferior students, usually minorities, can get B's. There are many many recent articles outlining this problem in detail and comparing the A's now with the B's and C's in the sixties, seventies and eighties.

Your racism is showing now, Bernard.

Alas. A person in denial will inevitably deny that he's in denial. As a die-hard Bush supporter, you're grieving. Snood can't help you. Perhaps you should seek professional help from a trained therapist to help you understand the following:

Five Stages Of Grief: 1. Denial and Isolation. 2. Anger. 3. Bargaining. 4. Depression. 5. Acceptance.

The sooner you move through the stages of your grief and accept the fact that Bush is a LIAR, the better off you will be.

Just saw Bush on tv yesterday and I've yet to see him without that, oh soooo annoying **** eatin grin on his face. I mean it's bad enough that it creeps me out. What the f@ck is the moron smiling about?
He's there talking about very serious stuff and he's got this big dumb ass grin from ear to ear and if I didn't know any better, I'd think the man was always drunk.
Either that or he's got to be on prescription pills.
I'm just waiting for the man to open his mouth one day and actually say "duh"! Just look at him and you can see he wants to.

Snood- I meant your comment about "Bush's lies being unsubstantiated".

Do you have evidence or proof? Do you have a link that shows PROOF that Bush lied?

If you don't,you are, of course, entitled to your opinion but, it is only an opinion.

Mr. Snood- May I respectfully point out that your use of an epithet- "You clueless hump" demeans you more than it offends me. It demonstrates that instead of using logic and evidence to answer my query, you resort to Ad Hominem attacks.

Drew Dad--May I respectfully point out that your comment about "racism" cannot be correct. If you are aware of the meaning of racism, you would be aware that Racism is defined as "the doctrine that INHERENT DIFFERENCES among the various human races determine cultural achievement".

My post does not ascribe the usual failure of minorities in our Universities to receive higher grades. I would never take that position. My position is that culture is the main reason for the failure of minorities to achieve, NOT INHERENT DIFFERENCES.

If you really wish to learn about this suibject, please access the writings of Dr. Thomas Sowell, Dr. Steven Pinker in "The Blank Slate" or Mr. Shelby Steele.

I never made such a comparison. I compared you describing a conservative as being in denial to me calling you an axe murder to illustrate the single point that anyone can accuse anyone of anything, but without some substantiation, it's just name calling, and an unworthy substitute for calmly presdenting one's rebuttal.

Ad hominem's merely indicate that you're incapable of a calm, reasoned rebuttal to my arguments. My point was that simply saying that someone is in denial is mere name calling, and not a valid substitute for a rebuttal of the other's assertions.

I am obliged to replicate Brandon's original post.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The President has often been accused of lying by his political opponents. I am starting this thread so that his opponents can try to demonstrate that the accusation is true, and his supporters can try to show that it's false.

What I ask is that anyone who wishes to show that he does lie state in each post:

1. A single quotation of the President's which is a lie
2. A bit of evidence, or an argument to demonstrate that it's a lie.

I request, though, that no one simply post a huge list of vague accusations of lying without evidence, or a link to such. Use your own words, not someone else's, and please limit yourself to one lie per post, so that the matter can be discussed in an orderly way.

___________________________________________________________
I have viewed no PROOF that would stand beyond the shadow of a doubt.
