I just assumed he was referring to a bunch of "Letters to the Editor," Asherman. Or perhaps a published submission in "Life in These United States" in the Reader's Digest.

He has often alluded to such things, Asherman and Ticomaya. But, I really must tell you that it is my opinion that if he is indeed a published author, he is nearly a genius to be able to disguise it so expertly in his usual posts.

Only a genius could present himself as such a literary doppleganger.

A fine and published writer on one hand

and

A potty mouth who has never used a word above two syllables or from another language.

BUT, IT COULD BE- HE MAY BE LITERARILY SCHIZOPHRENIC.

Do you remember "The Three Faces of Eve"?

Well, now we have "The Two Faces of Frank Apisa"

A leading historian calls Bush the worst president in history.

http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/042006J.shtml

BTW, I hate Bush due to the damage he has done to our country. Moreover, he is still dragging our country down, so he can't be ignored. He is stupid and utterly dedicated to uplifting the very wealthy to the detriment of the rest of us. His mistakes are legend.

Ah, at last we see Bernie's vision of a deep thinker: someone who uses "a word above two syllables or from another language."

I did not mean to be so brief,Mr. D'Artagnan. I could or should have added, words of more than THREE syllables and complex sentences which make sense. But I am certain that you recognize( at least I hope that you do) that all( or all that I have seen) of Mr> Apisa's output stems from one source --himself--without ever using quotes or documentation to buttress his posts.

Now, it may well be that Mr. Apisa is actually a self-taught phenomenon who does not need to exhibit proofs from other sources since he is so magnificently self-contained. However, I must confess that I cannot discern even a smidgen of that learning in any of his posts.

I believe you Mr. Apisa. But then why are you so shy?

Me shy???

You are even dumber than I suspected.

We would love to see some examples of your writing abilities. I haven't seen any yet.

Really. Well how about that.

Why don't you give us some examples. You can use some of the many many items you have published. They are not pornograhic are they?

No...no pornograhic...and they are not pornographic either.

If so, I understand your reticence!!!

If not, let us observe your talents. Don't be shy!!!!

There it is again. The word "shy" in a comment addressed to me.

What a dolt you are, Bernie.

If you hadn't come along...I'd have tried to invent you.

Around a hundred days since the question was first asked and someone is STILL trying to figure out if Bush is the worst president ever?

Duh!

I'm not even sure what field you've dedicated your life and career to.

I did have a MY TURN...the full page essay given by NEWSWEEK Magazine to guest columnists. It was published on 2/21/94. Perhaps you can go to the NEWSWEEK archives and read it. It was 1000 words...and they paid me a thousand dollars for it. (They got over a hundred responses from around the country.)

I was a community columnist for The Courier-News...with dozens upon dozens of thousand word op ed columns to my credit there.

The New York Times published an op ed sized letter (one of the longest they've ever published) in their March 4th 1989 edition. You can go to their archives and read it if you want.

One of my favorite coups was just after the Bentson/Quayle debate. NEWSWEEK and TIME got over 800 letters each on that issue. (Oct '88, I think) I sent separate, different comments to both...and my letters were selected for inclusion. Both major weeklies...and both with a huge amount of letters to choose from. I got 'em both. Look it up in the archives of each if you are as interested as you say.

I have had op ed pieces published in newspapers in damn near every major city of this country...and several in newspapers in England.

I say what I have to say clearly, interestingly, and in a way that causes editors to use my submissions.

I don't waste my talents on the likes of the conservatives and religious nuts in this forum...and enjoy tweaking those types by getting in the gutter when addressing them...WHICH IS MORE THAN THEY DESERVE.

Like it...don't like it...I really don't give a rat's ass.

I think any respect shown you people is a waste of time...and an insult to any writing talents anyone has.

freedopm4free- Wait! It is possible that we have misjudged Mr. Frank Apisa. It may be that he is a highly gifted writer who really does not wish to cast his pearls before swine. I made an effort to locate his "writings" but( and it may be due to my inability to locate such writings) but all I find is a big zero.

Mr.Apisa may deign to share his genius with us. Maybe if we are very nice to him and say PLEASE, he will show us his brilliant writings.

In the meantime, I will continue to state( if he repeats his usual obscenity filled and unsubstantiated puerile comments, that his writing( although he may be very modest and hiding his true genius) is execrable.

Keep trying, moron...I've even given you dates to use.

Are you telling us that you went to the NEWSWEEK archives and did not find my MY TURN? Did you go to the NEWSWEEK and TIME Magazine archives to find the letters? Or are you just doing your normal job of trying to bullshyt your way through a thread and and issue.

Although considering the quality of the pap you regularly serve up, Bernie...I doubt you'd recognize decent wordsmithing if it were biting you on the ass.

Frank, you are being attacked by a bunch of pinheads. I suggest you ignore them and stick with the subject of the thread. It is especially amusing to see the pedant, Bernie, speak to the writing of others.

Tico, Bernie asked me to support my attacks on Bush. Thus, I cited a piece about Wilentz's findings concerning the Bush presidency. It is a pretty telling piece.

Please, Ticomaya. You may not be aware that Frank Apisa may not wish to cast his pearls before swine.

He is probably a covert genius. Are you not aware of his many publications in Newsweek, the New York Times, Rolling Stone, the Nation and the National Enquirer.

I do find it extremely interesting, however, that in one of his chef D'Oeuvres about the VP contest he does not spell the name of Quayle"s opponent correctly. He wrote Bentson( instead of the correct Bentsen.

You would think that such a gifted writer would correct his copy( if indeed he really knew how to spell the man's name correctly) before submitting his post.

I have figured out that
Kennedy was worse than W,
and Truman was worse than Kennedy, Squinney.

I 'm not really much of a fan of W.
( I strongly favor well financed stem cell research )

I earnestly wish that the G.O.P. had nominated a candidate
who is more in line with its traditions of personal freedom,
and less theocratic than W.
I was underwhelmed when Reagan chose Bush to run.
Reagan was obviously selecting a man to counterbalance
Reagan 's own conservatism, more 's the pity.

However, the Democrats' alternatives were too scary
( in terms of deleterious effects against personal freedom )
to fail to support the Bushes; so I did.

Actually...no that is not the basic theme of my writing at all.

But the fact is that American conservatives have been on the wrong side of every great issue this country has ever faced.

It also is true that without the numbers provided by the racist scum of our country...and the supposed Christians who are hypocritically willing to get into bed with a philosophy that runs contrary to just about every teaching of Jesus...

...it would be a minor blip on the American body politic.

American conservatism is a joke...a particularly dirty, cruel joke...but a joke nonetheless.
