Why Codeborg - you sound almost bitter!

My liability doubled when I moved from GA to MA. Same carriers. Same thing happened with my health insurance.

i did have an 87 olds, then i had a 92 escort now i am getting a 95 civic. hope the insurance doesn't go up anymore!!! in massachusetts you can't shop around because they have all the same rates no matter where you go. depending on where you live, i live in a very small city that nobody knows it is a city, but still because it has city in the title pay more insurance!

AM, for one, your insurance probably will go up, because Hondas are a high theft car, so they're a pretty high-insurance car.
And although rates are the same state wide, if you call around to different agents, you'll still find different quotes. Some agents will apply more discounts than others.

it has an anti-theft devise (alarm) so doesn't that help the rates somewhat???

the reason honda are so easy to steal is that the wireiring for the ignition is right under the kicker panel. BMW on the other hand have keyless entry with a system that does not use the code more then 1 time....lower rates.

unfortunately being a college student and not having mommy and daddy helping ma at all, BMW is way way way, out of the question! thanks for the suggestion though, safecracker. I'll keep it in mind when I become a famous sex therapist!!!

Another reason Hondas are high on the theft list is because Hondas are popular with the wannabe Fast n' Furious street racing crowd. So they get stolen a lot for parts.

Little K, $250??? WOW! What an incentive. Tell you what...come buy a car from me, and I'll knock off $255.

I find that odd safecracker because you cannot physically lock your keys inside a BMW, at least not the one I own. Maybe you could lock it and then throw them in through the sunroof, but, I don't speak for Slappy....

actually the 1s I experianced dont have keys they use an electronic locking system which has to be manipulated and after u override it using the proper equipment then you can open it. sometimes the code has problems....after all it is a computer lol

Kia's are garbage. Don't even think about it. Honda, Toyota, and Nissan are good bets.

Kias may be crap but they have a 10-year bumper to bumper warranty, or something like that.
