Who here is excited about the plug-in hybrids?
Even though they are still a long way from production,
they are still a cool thing.
what do you think?

I'm disappointed in them.

I'm really looking forward to vehicles without combustion engines. I can't wait to drive a purely electric car with an electric motor instead of an engine.

Watch a documentary called who killed the electric car. Very interesting, explains a lot.

The maturity of the technology has been demonstrated by several states that offer actual purchase grants for purchasing these "PIH vehicles" like the Chevy Volt.
One of my partners bought one for one his kids and so far, (the kid has not demolished it) the reports are great for efficiency and economy.

I'm still interested in getting a Volt as my next vehicle.

(won't need one for a few years though)

the new genereation of flow through batteries should even be better than those lithium bombs we use now
