transmission. making clinging noise??

I purchased a 91 mazda miata and the trans is making a clinging noise when u shift gears nottoo sure what to do????

Clinging? it has dependency issues?

First guess, throw out bearing. Hydraulic clutch? If so, check fluid level. A worn cluth or a bad adjustment in pay can do it, too.
