Do people just end up going into porn, actually? I had a cousin who ended up doing a little porn, but she was first a promiscuous kid, she ended up becoming a stripper, and then she sort of moved into it after a while. I doubt very highly that someone would just one day decide that porn is right for them and go out and find a job in it. Seems to me that you slide into it slowly (no pun intended).
With that in mind, I think I'd put a tight leash on the little **** as soon as I saw them start acting in a way that I thought might lead down that slippery slope.
All of the above is only my opinion of someone who gets into the actual porn "actor" biz though. If my kid got involved in the distribution and production of porn, I'd still be disappointed, but I don't think that is as degrading to them personally.
I would hate the idea-
I would do my damndest to talk my kid out of it.
I would never disown my child.

i personally couldnt imgaine bean in the porn industry. having been as close to it as I have , it would kill me. As well as it could kill her.
A reflection of bad parenting? that.. i Do question.Simply because, there is a time in a persons life where they take responsibility for THEIR own actions and stop blamming parents.
I as a parent can not take 100% responsibility for Beans actions as an adult. I can play the blame game all i want, but truthfully.. she knows what is right and what is wrong. She knows enough to change what she doesnt like about her self and is smart enough to look around and pick out bad behaviors from more then just me.
but then again.. parents are the base model for the design kids become..

Most people are not comfortable being naked in front of large groups of people.
Practice in small groups where people cant touch you, you will be ok with sex in front of a camera and other strange people.

People have meaningless sex all the time, every day, in every city in America. It's going to happen. Can you fault someone for making money off it?
I imagine that most of the meaningless sex is an attempt to be close, even if for a short time, to another human being.

As Chris Rock said, your main job as a dad, is to keep your daughter off the pole. If your daughter is on a pole, you know you f*cked up somewhere.
That show that used to be on MTV, Loveline...Dr. Drew used to always say that women in sex industries, porn, strippers, prostitution, have deep issues with men, and it's most likely because they were abused or lacked father figures growing up.
Well I never want kids, so doesn't really matter, but if I did have a daughter, there's no way in hell she'd become a stripper/porn star. I'd feel like I screwed up somewhere.
Not that I think porn stars are bad people, and I don't look down on them. Just if it was my kid I'd be pissed.

Ok, so what if thekid came from a very GOOD home, great parenting , wonderful education etc..
was raped by someone outside of their family/friend circle sometime in life
returned to this great family setting where all was done right for them
and they STILL turned to the porn inustry?
is THAT still a parenting failure?
If it was my son, I'd be pissed also.

I don't think that is a realistic senario. If the person had all the support they needed and the parents did everything right then I don't think they would turn to porn.
And yes... I'd be pissed if it was my son, too.
