A week without posts? Are we all gloriously thin?

No.

but the salad lunches continue.

Had some ice cream on the weekend. Felt horribly unwell after. Could only drink water and tea for about 12 hours after. That may be a good thing.

On Sunday I told the Lovely Bride "I'm going out for a bike ride." A look of dismay and disbelief crossed her face. It was at just about this time last year when I went for a bike ride a week before vacation and shattered my wrist (and our vacation plans). In two weeks, we are going on vacation.

Knowing what's good for me, I did not go for my bike ride. Nor will I go again until we are back from vacation.

On the plus side, I played pick-up soccer last night with some friends. Mr. Scale said 163 this morning.

Wow! Somehow, someway, I've lost another 4 lbs!! But I've still got this innertube around the middle. Can't seem to whittle that away. Any suggestions? I've crunched for months to no avail!

i ran and/or biked and/or worked out every day in the past week at least. that means a serious workout. my legs and arms are definitely shaping up (at least to what i consider shapely - heap of muscles). i also need to get rid of the belly somehow. no amount of running seems to melt it away. then again, i ain't so good with dieting, must be stricter.

About 20 years ago when I reached the Seriously Saggy Years, I read that a modest little bulge below the waist in front was a sign that a woman was pregnant with wisdom.

This thought is a great comfort.

Went shopping yesterday & bought shorts in a smaller size. Got home, and they're not even tight!

Eva--

Congratulations. Even better than new vacation clothes is feeling smug in new vacation clothes.

Clary--

Thanks for the kind words.

Only ten days until vacation! I must maintain my discipline. Otherwise I shall look snug, rather than smug, in my vacation clothes.

I did. Luckily all that is in the house at this point is healthy. I needed something sweet STAT though, I resorted to jello with sliced pieces of melon. Not satisfactory, but with a few glasses of water and brushing my teeth afterwords, it carried me through. Now I have to go jogging again. Argh, it never ends...

Feeling good this week.

Monday 1500m swim (as 2x750m)
Tuesday 30km bike (c. 1 hour)
Wednesday 7km run (38 mins)

I think it's time for a day off and stretch today!

Only 10 days until the London Triathlon - I'm getting nervous/excited - one more big weekend of exercise and then get rested/prepared for the big day!

Keep holding those dominions!

Hyyah:
(Shakes sand out of cuffs onto doorstep)
Just got back from a week or so at the shore.
I read many pages of a fat book
(wasn't ABOUT fat, it was thick,
about as thick as me...)
ANyWay...
many steaks.... a few beach hot dogs....

and a lot of walking.

One long bike ride.... later

I was up about four pounds \\\\ Shocked

BUT

it was the best vacation we've had in a long time.

And I've already trimmed one of those puppies off

and enough grapefruit and salad will do the rest.
