Weigh-in update: 4 more lbs. this month, going slow and steady and safe. 5 more and I will be at my "wedding weight", and that will be fine by me.

What blood tests? What are the medical types looking for? Hold your dominion.

Quite a few things if my doctor is to be believed......But he has told me to take it easy on ALL physical activities till the (yet to be taken) blood test results come in....

G- I'm worried now mate, all the best with those tests, please let us know you are OK

McTag, the 8 exercise set you mention sounds like the circuit I do, I do 3 circuits and it is a great circuit for all the major muscles. I can do pull or chin ups for the first time in my life and quite a few of them-amazing !

Cav-keep it up.

Noddy - I am sorry to be so exhausting, I am actually going to ease up a bit this week, every 4th week is an easy week so far just the 3 swims, 1 bike ride and 1 weight session, nothing now until Sunday Very Happy

Cav, I will !!! Yet to take the test though !! I have started putting a lot of weight, specialy on my face (as the pic will clearly show you on A2K London meet thread) plus I keep feeling tired all the time...The doc *thinks* that it could either be a thyroid problem (which I have had before, only at that time I had started losing weight alarmingly) or could be high cholestral (of which I have a family history)...

Given my age, yes it is a bit worrying, but nothing which cannot be cured - the only problem is that I am sooooooooooooooooo afraid of needles that I just dont the balls to go through the blood test Laughing

Actually, I am getting it done on Tuesday finally.

My mother-in-law has a thyroid problem, and she is twice your age!! Even if it turns out to be that, it's not a big deal, and can be controlled. Glad to hear you are finally getting the blood tests. What is worse, a little prick, or letting your fear compromise your health? Uh oh, I hope you don't choose "a little prick." Laughing

True enough. Again, keep us informed, and remember, it's not the needle, it's the skill of the prick giving it to you that makes all the difference. Laughing <psst...I hate needles too, once a year is too much>

Here is a poem for Gautam:

Blood tests are best,
don't take them in jest,
for when you're in doubt
it's best to find out.

I totally agree,
but to some degree,
I am afraid,
of the needle that will invade,
the vein in my arm,
Though no cause for alarm,
And I am sure it will be quick,
but arm is not where I want a prick !!

Gautam--

Did you summon up your courage and survive Tuesday's bloodletting?

Have you seen the recent pictures of Jerry Lewis who is going into rehab to wean himself from years of steroids? He has a puffy face to end all puffy faces.

Please let us know what is happening. Hold your dominion.

Sadly, my puffy face is inherited. Sad I wish it were from something else.

Noddy, I had to take a fasting blood test, and given the current evening engagements I have, it is proving to be difficult.....

Tomorrow night is free (as of now) so I have an appointment for Friday. Let's see how it goes

Gautam--

I'm standing in for your mother. You are not too old to be sent to bed without your supper! "Fasting" means "from midnight on"--or at least it does in The States. This is your health, idiot child!

Beware My Wrath if you continue to shilly-shally.

Until then, hold your dominion.

uhm..Hi.

this is like...my first non-trivia/game related posting (yeah me yeah me). Anywho....is this still open to folks that wanna 'weight watch' with the anonymity of being 'online' and the support of being if WW???? I look in the mirror and notice that parts of me that ought not are now parts of me that 'jiggle when i wiggle'
