Damn guyz !! How do u get the time ?????

I normally come into work at 0700 hrs, so there is no time for the gym and this week's diary ....

Today - Work drinks
Tue - Meet Ryoji (long overdue)
Wed - More drinks and dinner (work)
Thu - Alumni get together
Fri - drinks and dinner (two different set of friends)

Either I drastically cut my social life, or go to the gym - cant seem to make up my mind Sad

It's only an hour a day...I go 4 days a week, so it's really not too much time for me, and I go out alot too. But if I'm going to the gym at night, and want to take out a chick or whatnot, I usually won't skip the gym..she's gotta wait.

Whatnot: any other plans, trouble, or whatnot that may arise. Usually involving consumption of alcoholic beverages. May include or not include the chick.

Noddy,

Paint the plateau yellow, add some nice orange flowers and walk when ever you can

G- I leave for work twice a week at 5 am and return home around 7 pm-the other three days I use my lunch hour for the gym-then do the quality sessions at the weekend.

I think socialising is a high priority-can you not combine some of the social/work thing with the gym ?

Slappy- over the 13 weeks I have been exercising I have averaged 4 times a week, much to my surpise-keep it up fella-I enjoy the odd drink and wahtnot too-too many make you fat though

hiama, the problem is that my gym is near my home rather than near my work (for those lazy weekends where I like nothing better than to spend a lazy afternoon in the spa).

"R" has cancelled for today (boo hoo) so today evening is free. I will be able to report my escapades tomorrow !!! (hopefully)

So Spa tonight is it ?

Just managed 40 mins on the elliptic today, tried to lift too much weight at the weekend and pulled something around my left pec-its sore so I missed the weights out today, no bad thing- 4 to 5 times a week is probably too much, you need reat to get the best effect.

Do bring us up to date tomorrow with your escapades old chum Very Happy

Oh yeh I'm doing 200 sit ups a day as well-forgot about that-mainly in sets of 50

Still doing it, it will be 5 times this week, mainly elliptic for 40 mins at level 17, did manage 3 miles on the treadmill on Friday but exacerbated the damage to my right soleus muscle so I'm gonna leave it now till it completely repairs itself- harummph

Today was a good session :-
Cut down weights programme of 15 mins
2500m on Concept 2 rower in best so far of 9 mins 30 secs
40 mins on elliptic at level 17-800 calories

Tomorrow just aerobic no weights

I'm off the nasty, yellow plateau and losing again.

Thought for this steamy summer:

A calorie is a measure of heat--and I do not need more heat in any form--even with chocolate.

Hiama, you're still putting the rest of us to shame.

Noddy,

Isn't chocolate the best. I have a fridge magnet whch says " if there is no chocolate in heaven, I'm not going "

Today I just did 40 mins on the elliptic-went a bit wild and covered 5.55 miles or kilometres not sure and expended 890 of those heat measuring calories or about 3500 KiloJoules - yipes I'm a blooming power station Very Happy

Bliss--of sorts.

I couldn't finish lunch (a lovely grilled bit of beef)--90 degree weather is too hot to eat.

Unfortunately, hot weather doesn't inspire exercise, either.

Swimming is nice or just lying on your back and flicking your toes every now and then

Wow, 60 pages and I am only discovering this now. I have recently shed 26 pounds on a diet of my own design (I am eating less and getting out more), and generally feel much better than I used to. 5 more pounds and I will be officially 'safe' for my BMI, 15 more and I could get back into my wedding tux, had it not been rented. Doc is pleased, but says I must start exercising again....I hate gyms. Tomorrow I start my Lohan again, a great set I learned when I was studying Kung Fu back in the days. If I can get back into the rythym of things, I have my weights and weapons to toss around. When I passed 25 lbs., I became more determined than ever, yet still not motivated to go to a gym Very Happy

Good stuff Cav, I sed to rely on running but as I was so heavy needed to shed a few punds first. Also an afficionado of kung fu, tai chi and yoga which has nevery really left me.

Well done fella-I am eating the way I intend to for life now= mainly veg, seeds, fruit and the odd high ball or six when I feel the urge

Yeah, running is great aerobics, but 1. it is totally not for me, and 2. with all the smog advisories we have been getting here lately, I have a perfect excuse to not bother Very Happy Lohan and sword I can practice in the privacy of my air-conditioned apartment. One day, I may take up Tai Chi....I have the vid from my old Kung Fu school, it's just tough to follow a vid Rolling Eyes

I used to love swimming. Unfortunately one of the lingering after effects of chemotherapy is a burned-out-body temperature. When the thermometer climbs above 80 degrees, I'm prone to swooning in the heat.

Outdoor exercise of any sort lowers the swooning point.

I despise swooning--I like to think of myself as a forceful and independent person.
