Hiama--

You inspired me to do my exercises, ride my bicycle and vigorously scour several plague spots in my domain.

You deserve your wee nip every now and again.

Hmm. Three day weekend, and I lose three pounds. I'm gonna publish my new "Ribs, slaw, corn, watermelon, and enough booze to drown yourself" diet for all. Wink

chjsa, can't wait to see it.

Thanks Noddy.

Today's session was 20 mins weights and I was brave and tried my calf out on the Treadmill, 30 mins on random hills for 30 mins at a leisurely 6.1 mph-so far so good Very Happy

I picked up a Nordic Trak for free yesterday. Neighbors are moving. I have no place to put it, so it's outside on the patio. Come rainy season I'll have to chuck it, but if I use it a few times, it's a great deal. Smile

I! I! ME memememe! I would love to have one. But you would have to make it walk from Silicon Valley to Boston. I'll stick to jogging then. And sausages. LOVE the Atkins diet.

For the record, I will not report a loss this month. (If I had only passed up that third piece of pizza last night and the third quesadilla the night before that. Twisted Evil )

I'm exercising daily again. The week we actually had two days of sunshine--two days of walking weather. Sunshine is inspiring.

Because of my lapses, I lost no weight in May--but June is full of promise.

It is hot here. Windows open last night, sleeping under a sheet, still sweating. Top that with an all night serenade from a horny mockingbird, I mean this bird was doing horns, car alarms, cell phone ringers, not to mention about twenty other birds, friggin thing kept me up most of the night. About 3:00 AM I went out and tracked down his recording studio and threw some dirt clods at him. He came back about an hour later. Grrrrrr!

Anyway, if this keeps up I should burn alot of calories when I'm supposed to be sleeping, don't you think?

cjhsa- I certainly reckon your metabolism is working overtime - LOL

Noddy-Yes June has plenty of promise and with the nice weather less of an inclination to visit the cookie jar.

Yesterday's session was very good - the pull in my calf is Ok for the time being:

15 mins weights-reduced this a bit as did not want to become a Hulk
4 miles on treadmill in best so far of 31 mins 37 secs

I think the combination of weights strengthening my muscles and reduction of weight has improved my power/weight ratio and hence the increase in speed with no effort-let's see what today brings

Waist now down to 37.5 inches- weight 222 lbs
