cool pic, bethie! and you sure look great there! job well done.

i do go to the gym. since july 1, i went every day, now about 3-4 times a week. i get bored to tears on the cardio machines. weights are more fun, but i'll end up looking like a Terminator again. I like going to the gym, but i need to spice it up somehow. I lost my brand new headphones somehow this week, so it won't be music. Maybe I'll try a personal trainer. Classes are always fun, but they're far too early. I love the "Boot camp" class, though I cannot move for a few days afterwards. How does one make elliptical fun?

Yep, the only way I can get on an elliptical is with music.

well, you know what's not boring? stairclimber. know why? you don't have the friggin time to be bored! i was almost dead in 5 minutes. Started idealistically on lever 12 out of 20, nearly flew off that thing. it's vicious! i did 30 minutes on it cursing my very existence with every step, but it felt great afterwards.and my calves don't even hurt today!

of course, we went to a pub straight from there, so i imbibed all the calories back, but at least the first two beers were guilt freee. Rolling Eyes

Just a site that I think might interest some of you. It helped me a great deal and I'd like to pass it along.

Montana--

Excellent site, thank you.

I'm one who likes a lot of talk-talk about cutting calories when I'm dieting and that site offers lots of possibilities for research and application.

You're very welcome, Noddy :-D

It's great once you learn your way around. You can look up all the calories for anything at all and tag the stuff that you normally eat, so you don't have to do this big search everytime you want to know the calories for your every day stuff, or whatever you want.
With the tags, you can also list your tags in categories like cereal, meat, dairy, etc.....

I rarely use it anymore because I already have all the calories in the stuff I eat down pat, but I still do use it and it's nice that it's there whenever I need it.

that would have been truly awful. luckily they were 'fake' - veggie, organic, baked...whatever. 170 each. still plenty more than necessary. still ugh.

...and notice the Number of Calories from Fat.

That site doesn't leave many hiding places for the self-deluded.

Another useful site is at the USDA website. I love this place! It tells you the entire composition of the food stuff, not just the fat. Great for comparisons. Like, compare parsely and spinach, for example.....
USDA Food Composition Data

Unfortunately, they don't have corndogs (meat or soy).
