ha! if only doing the advanced move counted at the beginner level.
<sigh>
This week I'll be found performing in the basement, trying to reverse that spin.
9 degrees F (-13 C). Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
No flippin' way I'm jogging today.
Fortunately we have a rowing machine in the workout room here.
My eating habits have been deteriorating, but February is a good month
to return to a disciplined lifestyle. (There is no ice cream in the freezer,
there is no ice cream in the freezer, there is no ice cream in...)
According to the lovely new scales I either weigh 105 or 107 or 119 or 125. This is demoralizing. I think I am going to be cruel and disdainful about Mr. Noddy's bargain.
Furthermore temperatures in the single digits cause me to crave fatty port and well-marbled beef and juicy lamb and anything deep fried.
Carbs are also desirable when slathered with butter.
I want to chow down and then hibernate until Official Springtime.
I wanna know more about this fatty port
That's quite a range the scale is displaying. How is your wardrobe feeling, Mistress Noddy?

I just checked and my port is indeed fatty. So is my starboard.
So much for not having to recover this year. We made an unscheduled trip to Iowa for a funeral last week and I spent five days eating like I was in Iowa. Between the casseroles and cookies and stress, I've managed to get back to where I was at Christmastime. This too shall pass....
Quivering with humiliation about my Fatty Port, I did a quick circuit of the produce section of the local supermarket (assorted peppers, red and green grapes, Mr. Noddy's out-of-season tomatoes and Granny Smith apples).
In the bakery, right next door, fresh doughnuts were coming out of the deep fat frier.
I have eaten a slice of a cream doughnut and half a bear claw--and my craving has been satisfied.
Love the Fatty Port.
Good for you Noddy, for the restraint re: baked goods.
JPB, I'm really sorry about your Iowa midadventures. I know you can get back on track SOON.
What direction are things spinning today, bethie?
EhBeth--
My jeans are looser around the waist--unless I've had a wee dram the night before. I peel weight from the neck down and the knees up. I'm a poster child for the Apple Shape. Weight this morning: 119.5.
George--
What about your Fatty Claret?
JPB--
At least your "Eat, Drink and be Merry" binge occured out of state. What happened in Iowa should stay in Iowa.
Mac--
Thanks for the kind words. The rest of the doughnuts have been cut in half and put in the freezer. Unlike some freezers, mine doesn't come with loud hailers for imprisoned indulgence.
....and a merry, merry Tuesday for those of us of Fatty Ports who haunt the Fleshpots.
I have the gym penciled into my diary for tomorrow, but tonight I wil watch 'you are what you eat' whilst eating a packet of crisps.
I am eating a load more veggies tho and Ive even started to make my own soup.
Material Girl--
Good for you.
Lifestyle changes come slowly--but a change in habits will result in a change in pounds, stones and inches.

It's much less fatty since I stopped topping it with whipped cream.
We still have not replaced the scale, so I don't know my weight.
It's gonna be a shock when I finally find out.
Gym night tonight:
Bench press
Seated cable row
Dumbell overhead press
Assisted chin-up
Assisted dip
Upright cable row
Sit-ups
Ten minutes on the bike
Cheers Noddy24.
Cant say Ive lost any weight but now when I eat major junk food I dont enjoy it as much and I daydream about chopping up celery.
Making meals is so much fun.
They're started us doing Pilates as part of the warm-up, and we're doing Yoga as a cool-down. I'm certainly (in theory) learning quite a few different disciplines. Oh yeah, and ballet arms
<still spinning that cane backwards>
Material Girl--
Beware. Cooking can be a dangerous hobby. Some of the greatest chefs in the world were/are fatty, portly people.
Woo-hoo! 101 pounds down!
And I exercised for 12 days straight, and took off today for good behavior.
A toast to Maxisoneinamillion!
<and don't you deserve a trip to New York?>
You're my ...
Thank you for taking such good care of yourself.
Thanks bethie. I'm going to look at plane ticket prices while I watch Lost.
Not going to spend anything until I have my performance review tomorrow.

Could be a helluva week...
