J-B, chocolate mints are best for guilt soothing. With a nice red wine and whatnot.

EhBeth--

I admit to six jelly beans and five gumdrops, but I'm still below 1400 for the day.

Perhaps the snow is keeping us sensible?

Hold your dominion.

A coupla more servings of high-fibre soup have done their fine fine work.

Another pair of fat pants went into the upstairs Goodwill pile.

George ... it's your turn again.

I'm doin' terrible, just terrible.

I'm running/ walking at the treadmill some (not nearly as much as I should), but my motivation is in the absolute gutter. I want to get a comprehensive plan in place, feel like I'm maximizing my time and energy, 'cause what I've done so far hasn't had as much of an effect as I expected to.

I've been talking to the personal trainer director available at my gym about whether I can have just one-two sessions to get a plan in place without the whole personal training shebang, which I can't afford, and he said sure. So I'm hoping that'll help.

I'm sure that will help, Soz.

CONGRATS to ehbeth. Goodwill will be very proud of you as well. How's Set's belt doing?

I finally feel like I've made a good effort today and will hopefully get on track. I made another trip to the health club this morning and have done well foodwise. Hopefully I'll at least get back to my starting point by tomorrow. I was at +1 today.

Set's belt.

Poor thing.

Set quit smoking earlier this year. The belt got a good outward workout after several months travelling in at the end of last year.

I bought him a coupla packs of milder gum today - to chew in conjunction with the smoking cessation gum - hope it works - for the nicotine and cookie urges.

I hear you. Celery sticks and carrot nibbles just don't have the same soothing affect as cookies. Good luck to him on the smoking cessation.

Double from what you get by coughing, 'cuz it's guaranteed that you aren't eating at the same time

Did you inhale something icky?
