I've been walking two to three miles a day. Like Winnie the Poo always said though, exercise makes me hungry.

Shewolf--

I'm the sort of fat person who will eat because of boredom or high emotion or hurt feelings--oh, yes, and hunger.

I've found that if a piece of pretzel tastes absolutely delicious--and melts in my mouth with the starch disolving and digesting instead of turning into a soggy paste--I'm really hungry. If I think "That's not what I want" and reach for something else, I should leave the kitchen.

I lost two pounds last week. Walking (and counting calories) work.

Question: Could the A2K posters lose a collective 100 pounds in April?

For the April Grand Melt--

I'm aiming for a seven pound loss--93 pounds will have to come from someone else.

I'm in for six. That'd be a pound every five days.
(Dazzling math skills, eh?)

I'll take 10, the first five will be easy, the other five I'll have to work for.

So, we have:

Noddy 7 pounds
George 6 pounds
J_B 10 pounds (5 easy, 5 hard)

We have 77 pounds to go. Is anyone else feeling competitive?

Shewolf, how about shooting for a 5 pound loss?

I'm in for ten.

Five by my birthday (14th) and 5 more before the 30th.

And I'm going to Florida for a week or so at the end of the month.

I clicked out when I saw this.
Thinking the whole time.. " nah. I dont need to do that. 5 pounds isnt anything to worry about.."

And then I ate a bowl of cereal.

The problem with that bowl was that i was not hungry.
I just finished some chili with crackers not but a few minutes before.

I hate change.
I hate commitment.
and I hate being held to my word.

Probally some of the reasons my weight loss has stopped and my diet has gone back to crap.

I will throw my hat in the ring for 5 lbs .

And i will stick to it..

4 Saturdays. I think I'll go for 8 pounds.

If I could get my housemate on a scale, I think he'd add substantially to your target, Noddy. Regrettably, he's a bit scale resistant.

Maybe we can estimate number of pounds per belt hole?

Before you open the refrigerator, job in place for fifty paces first. If you don't feel like jogging, you don't feel like eating.
