HAH!

No. I gave up beef.
But I still eat fish, chicken, buffalo etc..
I just dont touch beef. Too mass produced with too many hormones.
Scary stuff .
I do take a multivitamin and I am hoping i am getting enough iron.
My typical morning begins with a veggie shake.
5 pieces of broccoli
1 handfull of baby spinach
1 sweet apple with skin
1 bananna
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup soy milk

put that in a blender.
yup... thats how i start my day.

then i have a snack of some kind of grain. Bagel, cereal, toast.. rice..
lunch is where i get my fruits. and again, more grains.
Usually tofu , some fruit, rice.. beans..something.

dinner is meat time.
Salmon, steamed veggies, rice. or chicken salad..something.
Throw in an occasional egg ora piece of sausage in the morning , maybe once a month a piece of chocolate, and you have my eating habits right there.

i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can
i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can
i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can i think i can

i think the reason i feel so bad, if you want to get to the truth , is because i am so heavy.
Carrying around extra weight is painful. Espically when you are trying to move it..

hmmm, the broccoli, spinach, and occasional egg have iron. Is your multiV a womens formula or 'Plus iron"?

Of course you can do it!

I had to stop sunning myself on the beach because
the Greenpeace people kept dragging me out to sea.

oohh.. sexy image.. Laughing

Weekly report.
went to practice.
did some stretching.
the route we took this morning was up hill.
No problem for most people.. except me.
Burcitius flared to almost a breaking point. I was the absolute last person in the training and embarassed about it. ( Whats THAT about?! ) I guess I do have a competetive bone in me.. Laughing
Though I think the look on my face was unbearable because 2 women slowed down their pace to walk with me.
I think I have ground one of my teeth into powder from the discomfort of the walk..
but- DAMN it I finished~! Very Happy

Slid my pants off to go to the bathroom instead of having to undo the top button!!! Can you believe that?!!!! They just... slid right off. ! Shocked

Congrats to George, Shewolf, and Noddy for staying on the workout gristmill.

Shewolf - 14 min miles are nothing to sneeze at.

George - I calculate your time to be 6.9 mph average over 5K!!! I can move that fast for about 10 seconds.

Noddy - 30 mins on the bike is great.

Hope you're feeling better, dragon.

Good Morning all!

Here's the weekly report:
I made it to the gym Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and ran the half-park run (about three miles) each night, except Thursday when I met Blatham, Lola, Kicky and Frank at the Frying Pan. (You can hear what they sound like by clicking on the website link below. The post is Deep Thoughts off the Deep End)

Felt awful on Friday (was it that one beer?) So I took it easy. I walked through my normal Dog Run Hill Agonynitiser and mosey, mosey, moseyed on home.

Saturday morning I was doing the half park and tried to stay ahead of this one group of very slow runners. I did. and I ended up doing the run ten minutes faster than I usually do. Had to stand around and look at the park art.

Oh yeah, ten weeks in row: 216.2

Shewolfn: two words- stretching and rest. Stretch before any run or walk until you are warmed up. If it takes 30 minutes of stretching to prepare for a twenty minute run, so be it. You'll lose that soreness. Oh, and doubling your distance is okay IF you follow it with two or three days of shortening like 2, 2, 2, 4, O, 1.5, 1.5, 2, 4, 0, 2, 2, 2, 4, O, 2, 2, 3, 4, O, 3, 3, 3, 2, O, 3,3,3, 4, O.3,3,3,6,0...... see? it's incremental.

And rest, really rest on your rest days. (You do have a day on no exercise, right?) Go to sleep at night without watching the news and try getting an extra half hour of sleep for the next month or so. (When is the Marathon?)

Distance brings perspective.

Congratulation on your weight loss and on the moral fiber that has peeled the pounds for ten straight weeks.

Well, after losing initital 3 lbs of fluid, in the past 2 weeks since I weighed last I've lost 1/2 pound.

So I'm now down to 178 on the dot.

I'll admit I was expecting to see more that that, maybe a pound, but as long as it's on a downward trend I'm happy.

I've always been one of those people who likes to eat 5 times a day, but unfortunately the size of the snacks were turning more into the size of meals. Smile

I've been trying to keep busy to keep my mind off food, and have made by snack mini-meals more like 200-300 calories of some type of REAL food, not junk.

I've found it really takes 300 calories of something to really make me feel the hungers gone. Really important, I'm not eating when I'm not actually physically hungry.

I think my bodies just going through an adjustment phase, and I'm optimistic at least some more weight will be off when I weigh-in in another couple weeks.

First two boxing trainings last week!

I am still a little sore, but it's way better than yesterday morning when I could barely move. On Wednesday we had Herr Schwarz and on Friday Frau Klaudia for trainers. Sadist brutes.

I've been hovering around 140. That's 7 pounds, or so, less than when I started. I'm pretty happy with it. Now if I could just get myself to excersize!

Good morning all:

213.7 That's eleven weeks in a row. I was 236.8 on July 3rd.

I'm about a third of the way to my goal.

I've been a little sad about the end of summer. Last night on my run through Central Park there was a gust of wind and the runners ahead of me were suddenly caught in a shower of golden leaves, I began thinking about October being so close, but then it started to drizzle and I had to chug for the 86th St. subway station.

I hope everyone's marathon training, boxing lessons and general dominion holding goes well this week.
