Ah, our favorite pet pit viper . . . having a good day, McG? Get off to a good start by pulling the wings off some flies, and now ready to join the fray?

Hey, Set, please don't divert McG's passion for using duct tape to silence circadas.

Wow. So much attention from 3 people whom I admire least... Is it christmas already?

I appreciate the fact that you 3 are so threatened by me, but I would have to say that the last 4 posts could constitute a personal attack. Perhaps you should try discussing topics instead of people. I know that hasn't been popular around here of late, and I know you will come back with some sort of "look who's talking" gibberish, but really, look at what you are talking about here. A washed up rock star wannabe, A washed out grandma and a historian with no common sense all fighting with a nobody conservative from Central New York over idiotic issues...

Oh the fun of it all... Rolling Eyes

I see the political diatribes are continuing. Much along the same pattern has happened in some spirituality and religion threads it seems to start leaning one way and one way only and any other viewpoint is attacks and chiseled down to nothingness or reformulated to resemble nothing remotely close to anything that anyone had originally intended.

That said, I am aware I am lining my self up for the attacks of the "we love everybody" left wing yahoos who love nobody who doesn't agree with them 100%. As I have made clear before, I am willing to have discussions and talk; but need people to allow me time to air my thoughts and to at the very least respect my right to have them which is what I have continually tried doing with the pro-Clinton moaners. Never have I shut one down or denied them their right to say what they think, but as soon as my mouth opens, boy oh boy do they run.... biggest disaster was the one who ran into the center of the road to escape what I had to say and soon became pavement fodder.

McGentrix, a boil on my ass is more threatening to me than a never ran the race in the first place military expert.

As for being a wahed up rock star wannabe I gave my career in music everything I had and still play professionally , and at least have played the game instead of being rejected as unfit before I even got a chance. Laughing Laughing

Hi Sturgis, You want to speak your piece, but don't want it to be challenged, because your's are free from "diatribe?" And you start your diatribe by saying "fanatical Clinton moaners?" You're a gas!

Feel better? I changed it to pro-clinton moaners, seeing as how fanatical might be offensive. Further, I never said I did not want to be challenged. My beef is with people who want to talk only about one side but never will listen to what I have to say. This same form of thinking would apply if I saw a person with conservative viewpoints yelling their ideas and then walking away when a person with a more liberal viewpoint began to speak. The sad part is it happens more from the liberals than it does from the conservatives and in these boards as well. If I listen to someone else, is it truly too much to ask that they afford me the same nicety?

(and as a right wing yahoo I stand firmly by my left wing yahoo comment))

Military expert? Me?! Well, I am glad to see you hold me in such high regard, but I would never consider my self a military expert. A computer expert perhaps, a pioneering expert certainly, but military expert? Nah. I just support my country is all. I see the need to have and use the military forces we have.

I hold no self delusion over my career path and I am quite happy with what I do. You, on the other hand, seem to be chasing a dream. *edited to remove needless personal comments*

I'm willing to listen. In fact, I'd be more than willing to peruse one of the 'mounds and mounds' of documents you have that shows that Bushco is in fact anti-torture, as you claimed.

Do you have the guts to actually respond, and have a dialogue? Or just admit that you don't have any 'mounds and mounds' of documents; that's okay with me, too.

Due to selective recall and massive shredding I have successfully lost all connection to the alleged mounds of which you speak. Could you direct me back in time to when I mentioned them?

Quite simply you are wrong on both counts. I do not need to, nor will I, sift through the mounds and mounds of documents I have amassed to prove that you are wrong since I am sure that you, as is the case with most wishy-washy Demoralizing Democrats, would refute the truth and twist it to suit your own needs.

It truly is sad and even deplorable that we still are unable to hear the words of truth without being frightened into denial. That Frank is exactly what has happened to the majority of those opposed to Mr.Bush and the fine job which he has been doing.

I await eagerly. Produce evidence or retract yer claim.

Fortunately for me, I covered myself at the time by saying I did not need to nor would I sift through the mounds and mounds of documents.

Strangely the idea of this is comical since I cannot recall ever saying such a thing but it is there so it must be somehow true. In the words of nobody in particular with regards to those statements: "I can't recall."

Strange.

Sturgis is another enigma of the right that hasn't seen any of the pictures of torture perpetrated by US soldiers in abu Garaib. Nor the many stories in the media of soldiers who have been charged with those crimes, and are now spending time in prison. When they are blind, deaf and dumb, further discussion is a waste of time.

mcg, mcg,mcg... what will we do with you??

washed up rock star wannabe ? not everything is about money. or glaring celebrity. some things people do because they want or need to do it. what's wrong with that ?

the answer you are looking for is "nothing. nothing wrong with it at all".

interestingly, you don't seem to have any problem applauding the emperor wannabe in the white house. or watching he and his posse chasing their dream of "a new world order".
