Fortunately for me, I covered myself at the time by saying I did not need to nor would I sift through the mounds and mounds of documents.

Strangely the idea of this is comical since I cannot recall ever saying such a thing but it is there so it must be somehow true. In the words of nobody in particular with regards to those statements: "I can't recall."

Strange.

Failure to provide evidence confirms my earlier belief; you have no such documents. The nature of the internet makes retrieving such documents a trivial matter; there really wouldn't have to be any 'searching' involved if you possessed documentation or links to documentation.

That's okay with me, as long as it is okay with you that your credibility is damaged.

Sturgis' mounds and mounds of documents doesn't do anybody any good, because he doesn't want to look into it. Garbage in, garbage out; it's actually a mole hill that grew in his brain. One of the definition for mound is "A pile of earth, gravel, sand, rocks, or debris heaped for protection or concealment." I think that definition fits.

Sturgis is another enigma of the right that hasn't seen any of the pictures of torture perpetrated by US soldiers in abu Garaib. Nor the many stories in the media of soldiers who have been charged with those crimes, and are now spending time in prison. When they are blind, deaf and dumb, further discussion is a waste of time.

Who said that? Where are you I can't find you...no wait I can't hear you...no wait I can't see you...no wait, I can't say anything about this.

Yes I have seen the photographs and I am just as appalled as many others are and if anything I am disheartened that those involved were not subjected to a firing squad.

You gotta realize that the guys at the top knew what was going on, then, Sturgis. It is a plauge that has infested our military leadership.

FD, at my father's 40th birthday celebration one of his old friends gave him a fishing tool called the 'faster master baiter.' They all got a kick out of it but I didn't understand until about, oh, three years and a Victoria's Secret catalogue later.

I thought you'd say that..

Even with Bush's grimaces during the debates he still took Kerry with a landslide.

Looks are only skin deep... America knows that... Some others need to get a clue... All the spray on tan in the world won't change that... Smile

If Bushco is anti-torture, but it keeps happening over and over, claims about anti-torture doesn't have any meaning or credibility. We're still waiting for the mounds and mounds of documents to support this claim. When does Bushco's responsibility end? When he's no longer the Commander in Chief?

noooo. you need to get a clue that a 3% lead, while yes is the winning number, is not a landslide victory.

or a "mandate of the people" or any of that other rubbish.

and since you bring up the election, you realize of course, that if the election were held today, bush would lose. and it really would be a landslide.

as to your comment about looks. i could handle bush looking like an idiot. it's his inner idiot that is causing the real problems.

This thread is a laugh a minute, once you get past the subject matter which is the war in Iraq and a lot of people dying. So many easily bruised egos here from folks, on both sides, who fancy themselves hosting a radio talk show.
Anyway, if any of yall follow events in Iraq:
1) the committee charged with hammering out a constitution failed again to meet their (extended) deadline. They have given themselves another three days. I hope they can make it work but...I fear we may end up in the middle of a civil war betwixt the Sunis, Shites and Kurds (I am sure I spelled at least one of those wrong). That would not be good.
2) Bush vs Kerry rehash? No. But the new development, I think, is that there is growing unease amongst the American public and it is reflected in the polls re Mr Bush's approval. Some of it may be attributable to the economy (which johnboy feels is a lot more vulnerable than many folks realize, but that is fodder for discussion on another thread). Some may be associated with Mr Bush's penchant for a long vacation. But the big problem, the real big problem, for this administration is that elections for all members of the House and 1/3rd of the Senate are coming up in a little more than a year. The incumbents are fearful of looking like deer caught in the headlights.

(johnboy writes his own opinions rather than quoting articles. For better or for worse. And I made it through an entire post without sneeringly slamming anyone else. It's not really that hard. Try it. I should note, however, that one of yall's feet really smell. No names)
