Then that is what we should be talking about. Why they think the way they do.

Or are the Kurds chemical deformities and birth defects a figment of the conservatives imagination?

Amigo, That kind of thinking requires a whole new word to be created. Even Dr Johnson and Webster would struggle creating that word, because it's so new a phenomenon.

How about "wimpola"?

Because he opposed Bush with dumb rhetoric and grew a beard and took off for india/africa (I forget which one) for a granola convention...

that's it ???

his "rhetoric" was dumb? as opposed to second son of god, george bush ?

and for a granola convention, to boot ? are you sure about that part ? ya know, it might hace been a crystal waving convention. or a tree hugging convention. possibly a convention of those insane animal lovers where they actually pet the little critters.

hmm, maybe that's it rex. wimpy ol' al gore wanted his very own pet goat.

The irony of course is that if it wasnt for President Bush, Schroeder would have been voted out of office three years ago already...

stimmt das, herr nimh. my german friends here, most of whom have dual citizenship, held their noses as they voted for schroeder.

Belittle his errors... that is worse than, "the devil made me do it".

Why didn't Gore run in "04"?

Maybe the American people had enough of his prattle.

Couldn't be any worse that being in office with over half your nation's citizenry wanting you hung.
Some politicians know when to bow out gracefully, those less inclined just "stick to their convictions" come hell or high water....or just do whatever the **** they want.

Your sarcasm is unbecoming...

as opposed to your's ?

And yes Gore is completely sane...

yep. not that you seem to know the difference.

The USS Cole gets bombed and Clinton/Gore drop a bomb on a baby food plant...

why yes, he/they did. i've also heard it called an aspirin factory.
additionally, it was identified as the building where bin laden was supposed to be.
too much fox news in your diet there, rex. you can't say that clinton/gore bombed "the wrong place" at the same time that you claim that they did nothing about bin laden.
there's a word; "contradiction". look it up...

Where was the outrage from the left then?

for myself, at the time, my outrage was quite vocal. in the midst of all of the weird crap that was going down, the republican led congress couldn't give a rat's furry keester about terrorism or anything else that didn't concern clinton's crotch.

Can we emphasize the "dumb rhetoric" too... red faced screaming like the left's parton saint, tasmanian Howard Dean...

screaming? mmm, perhaps. but really quite unimpressive compared to this true master of the spittle ejecting rant... you get 'em tiger..

Oh yea and the beard, the cleric his holiness "Al" Gore, long enough to pass as a terrorist.

fair enuff. you realize of course abraham lincoln, you know of the republican party (hence the incessant nattering about "the party of lincoln"..), wore a beard ?

interestingly enough, it's recently been reported that he may have actually had two beards. the one on his face and the one he was married to.

What was he thinking?

that dragging a piece of metal over your face everyday is a real pain in the a** ?

And I am sure Bin Laden became an American patriot when Clinton gave him a free pass to slip through his fingers after several attacks, one on our own soil.

more fox news, eh, rex.

But Bush is slipping? What kind of fantasy world do you lefties live in? I think the granola has gone to your heads....

slipping ? oh gracious, no. he's simply reaping the benefits of having irreversably done damage to his brain with alla that cocaine. pickling it as well.
thank god he never inhaled.

fantasy world. ahh, yes. a world where up is down, war is peace, judges who don't rule in your favor are "activist judges" and judges who do, or will, rule in your favor are "strict constructionists" of the constitution.

you'd have to tell me what it's like rex, i'm too busy stuffing granola in my mouth, babe.
i know it's not as patriotic as apple pie, but it does have less filler.

shuhhh, yeah. in 1988, during the reagan presidency.

that would be prior to desert storm, as you well know. so if you want to know where the chemicals went, ask bush senior.

In 1988...

Many of those chemicals would be degraded now, seventeen years later, anyhow ...

And then there's the slight matter of the UN weapon inspection teams succesfully destroying the overwhelming majority of Iraq's WMD in the years after 1991; something the US government itself back then proudly trumpeted ...

That's why, when Powell claimed that the US knew, for absolutely sure, that not just had Iraq once upon a time used WMD, it still had them right now, and the US intelligence knew exactly where, the other countries in the Security Council were highly sceptical ...

Rightly so, as it turns out.

But then we've gone through this cycle of arguments, including links and quotes on each of the above counts, a dozen times on this forum already - to be frank, I dont care to look them up one more time.

It is not only not certain that Hussein gassed the Kurds, the best available evidence is that they were victims of a Persian attack. It's all crocodile tears anyway, the conservatives certainly didn't give a rat's ass when it happened--they only trot it out now to justify their crusade. How sickening . . .

Up intill March 1992 under bush snr & Reagan we sold Hussein the technology and materials Iraq needed to develop nuclear, chemical and biological weapons of mass destruction. Is this fact unknown, Ignored or suppressed
