True enough, BillW! But reading the comments above, I keep thinking how much we've forgotten that democracy wasn't intended to be convenient!!
And when there are leaders (sic) who make decisions in total disregard of the people, then the people must work harder!
Sick is right! Here's the illustration which refuses to post within A2K (restrictions?) -- a nice take on the peace movement:

Click on the thumbnail. Hope it works this time!
Doesn't work Tartarin, looks like from the URL that you must be a member. Got to go the hard way,
Save to your PC,
Upload to a WebSite
Then bring into A2K
Interesting Walter. It worked fine for me too through the "preview" process within A2K, but didn't come through to the thread.
I can see it now and I like
I would go into battle to save the New Yorker.
How about the Washington Post?
I clicked on a link and got a blank screen with the ribbons over to the left, thumbnail view -- clicked on the thumbnail and that brought it up full-size on the screen.
I'd do something drastic for the New Yorker, too. They're making news lately -- Perle and now the stuff about Rummy (disagreement with the Pentagon about how many troops were needed.)
Bill
Bill Bradlee and Katherine Grapham were two of my favorite word-people, so I'd be tempted. Too, would it not be a compelling prospect to be chumming in the trenches with Charles Krauthammer? He'd be so brave and gung ho, and he'd have lots and lots of extra bullets with him, just in case the UN showed up.
I hear you blatham. Hopefully, we are just witnessing a brief illness. The Post has stood for years a bastion of the common man in a sea of bureaucracy.
Oooh -- Like your avatar, BillW!
