I do not think "anti-peace" people exist. Your statement is vacuous.

In any case, every professional, including Iraqis of course, of war has studied the experience of the Viet Nam War and the mass movements world-wide related with it. Military (of Iraq) is expecting the mass movements in its merit, and calculating them as a strategy.

Being naive about international politics is very dangerous.

Nothing is the same, nothing follows predictions, everything needs to be treated as the first time or you maybe caught in a box you can not get out of. However, in the case at hand - overwelming might against a vastly inferior foe without the advantage of wilderness and the avenues of explotable free zones (ie, Cambodia and Laos) is a for gone conclusion. The only victory to Iraq will be that it wasn't a roll over as predicted!

Another lesson from the Viet Nam War is the strength of mass movements as a strategy, from both or multilateral view points.

You must be careful about exerting the strength learned.

This kind of mentality leads to terrorism.

Tartarin - I know Bush claimed Spanish (which is a joke) - but I'm sure he never learned verguenzas (shame), or verdad (truth).

I'm not even sure he knows what hombre means.

I hope the war will cease soon for everybody, "soon" especially for those in anti-war movements.

"Annan, the United States and Britain had asked the council to ensure that nearly $10 billion in goods Iraq ordered and already approved, including $2.4 billion for food, can enter the country when conditions allow."

I scanned all the postings and saw no reference to the difference between passive and active civil disobedience. I think the distinction is very important.
Active means doing something , acting, functioning, moving.
Passive means offering no opposition or resistance, submissive, yielding.

Have no idea what your point is. But since you mention it is lying down in the road and causing disruption active or passive. I should think active.

I think so au. Detestable protest is destroying fixed structures - the only aim should be to change mental structures!

Read a quote last night, wish I had got it down but it went something like:

Regardless of what side you are on you meet people on your side who you wish were on the other side! Rolling Eyes
