@Mame,
Harry and Paul are, they do a lot of parodies of old stuff.

I saw the film of on the buses with my friend and his grandma.

We weren’t allowed to watch the TV series because it was on ITV and my dad was a bit of a snob about commercial telly.

@Brandon9000,
For years, if I told my husband anything that I wanted to stay private, I would say that I was invoking the John Beresford Tipton rule.

I liked Soupy Sales, but not enough to watch him every single week.

@Phoenix32890,
Actually, "Beresord" and Tipton" came from the home towns of a couple of people associated with the show.

@edgarblythe,
My sister and I lived in Toronto when we were 4 and 5 (and had 3 or 4 other littler siblings) and we would walk to the studio by ourselves and watch it . Sometimes we were even on tv!

Another on that ran at the same time was "Romper Room" and I'm pretty sure it's not in syndication, lol.

@Mame,
I watched "Romper Room," but no longer remember anything about it. Hey, does anyone remember "Love That Bob" with Robert Cummings? Dwayne Hickman and Anne B. Davis were also in it. Hmmm...I should probably also mention "Dobie Gillis."

@Brandon9000,
Yes. There was Love That Bob and there was The Bob Cummings Show. But I think they were the same show named differently. Dobie Gillis is being rerun on Roku.

@farmerman,
I liked Columbo for the simpl reason that we were in on the crime and the show was totally based on the way Peter Falk would solve it.

My fav all time show was MYTHBUSTERS. I was in my 50;s I think, whn this show ran and i was in my 60's whn it ran out of ideas

@farmerman,
That was a big part of the appeal for me in Columbo, too. That we knew ‘whodunnit’ from the start. The fun was watching him outsmart all those criminals who thought they’d done the perfect crime.

@snood,
I agree on Columbo. I still catch the occasional episode.

I think people still remember the existence of "Columbo," though, or am I deluding myself? I'm trying to focus on things that if you mentioned them to people, they literally wouldn't have heard of it. Of course, with millennials, that's almost anything.

I don’t know if Underdog can be considered as “forgotten “, but I’ll mention it anyway. We watched it pretty regularly.
Whenever Sweet Polly Purebred was threatened by a villain like the evil Simon Bar Sinister, mild -mannered Shoeshine Boy would dash into the nearest phone booth and emerge as the super-powered Underdog!
There’s no need to fear, Underdog is here!

I do not know.

I don't think I ever saw an episode Rocky and Bullwinkle.

(BTW...I never saw a single episode of Friends. There is one more biggie that I never watched, but I cannot remember what it was right now.)

@Frank Apisa,
Probably Dallas or something like that Smile I also don't watch tv shows. I found Desperate Housewives, Lost and Grey's Anatomy went wild. Too stupid. Ever since then, I eschew tv shows, unless they're documentaries.
