Near a year back my oldest daughter caught the virus. She was working from home, not even leaving the house. But her son and husband both left almost every day. She says it was not a violent case and she got past it, but she is not completely normal still. Today I found out a great-granddaughter has it. She and all the people around her have it or have had it. She's pregnant. Still early. So far none have had to be hospitalized.

We learned today that an old friend of ours from work had a bad stroke this past February. After he retired about 3 years ago, he and his wife moved to Florida and he's been very active with Manatees, in fact he was at the sanctuary (I'm not sure if that's the correct term) when he suffered the stroke. He was taken to a hospital and he was recovering but then was hit with a bad case of COVID which weakened him considerably. He's home but it's been slow going. I'm going to text his wife tomorrow and see how he's doing. That makes a total of 4 former co-workers just this week alone who have discovered serious health threats.........both my husband I have worked and socialized with all of them, it's hard learning that people I've known all my adult life are dealing with such serious health issues. In my mind I still see them as 30 year olds, I guess that sounds foolish, logically I know we are all aging, but emotionally I hate losing even a tiny piece of them................Life doesn't stand still and it sucks.

You're right GB life does suck, not always but when it does it hurts, it hurts bad.

But all you can do is carry on, if not for yourself for those around you.
And grab a laugh every chance you get.

I'm always preaching "compartmentalize." And I mean it. I can cry over a bad thing and mere moments later laugh over something completely different.
