Good news--especially the mental clarity.

There are many men who need a Loving Wife and Two Stalwart Nurses (one for the patient, one for the IV tower) as escorts to walk the hall.

May this be the beginning of the end of an unpleasant chapter.

Hold your dominion.

Squinney- Try turning on the water in the sink in his room. And make waterfall sounds. That usually does the trick! Very Happy

Mails moving. Rivers flowing. Hoping for some clear liquids tomorrow, and move on to bigger and better solids soon after that. Doc today said probably Wednesday. Two days past what I was hoping for, but at least he's coming home soon.

He keeps saying he hasn't eaten anything in 6 days. He doesn't realize he's already been there ten, and it will be 14 days by the time he leaves.

Took the kids up to see him this afternoon on my second trip to the hospital. Took one to work after that, got groceries, came home and put it all away. Boy cub asked if I was going to fix dinner before I go back for the evening. Then asked why I was going back up there. I said 'cause it makes him rest better, comforts him... Boy cub said "And it keeps him form wandering the halls naked?"

Yep!

Daughter looked at me and asked if she had mentioned lately how well I was doing. I thanked her. She's thoughtful that way.

Today has been the closest I've come to falling apart from exhaustion, demands and just being overwhelmed in general. Haven't really allowed myself to go to the what ifs or could have beens. At least we're past all that, so I don't have to go there now.

I just get weepy, super sensative when I'm this exhausted. Will get more rest tonight. Think I might shave my legs and pamper myself if I can keep my eyes open after getting older cub from work at 10. The shaved legs will look a lot better with this white eyelet sundress, doncha think?.

Can't you send someone else for the older cub?

No, but I would be at hospital until about that time anyway, so no big deal. At least it won't be pouring down rain like the other night when Cindy decided to rip through at about the same time as I was leaving the hospital.

Squinney- Try to rest as much as you can before the Bear returns. Once he is back, there will be a whole new set of things to do. One of the grownups need to remain upright at all times. Take care!

Squinney
Squinney, strong people, especially strong women, hold themselves and everyone else until the danger is past. Then they fall apart when everyone is not dependent on their strength. So have a good cry, or several if it will help. You earned it.
