(i need to tell myself that it is not necessary to post every single thought that crosses my mind)

Catheter distress seems to be linked to the XY chromosome.

not that I have had one for a real long time but I remember alot of stinging and other sensations after it was removed for a day or so.

Not pneumonia. Lungs are good.

Catheter is out - no problem. He's been walking up and down the halls, singing, chatting and continuing to insist he needs to make some calls.

I asked about a possible Monday discharge and Doc said maybe Monday at the earliest, but certainly midweek if all continues as it is now.

Gotta get some bowel sounds going, and they've given him until 10 tonight to pee. He promised to drink lots of water and pee like a horse - just don't put the catheter back in!

Having a hard time reconciling that I am now begging him to fart, after years of begging him not to do so.

Only occasional dilusions / halucinations. At least now he knows that is what is happening and just sits still and quiet until it passes.

All around good day. Going back with the kids for a short visit tonight after dinner.

im glad to hear that a release date is in site. thats a good thing.... and him farting? might not be a good thing... especially if he has been holding it in for a while.. so watch out when he does
