Trump was doing his bit to extend the Israeli, Palestinian conflict.

Actually Mr. Trump gave the Palestinians one last chance.

The Palestinians really don't deserve another chance. But whatever. They've been given one.

Indications are that the Palestinians do not intend to take the opportunity that has been given them.

I think Israel should begin deporting Palestinians out of Area B and dumping them in the Gaza Strip. Enough is enough already.

@oralloy,
It's not up to Trump to ramrod a solution.

@neptuneblue,
Mr. Trump is not trying to ramrod anything.

He gave the Palestinians an opportunity that they do not deserve.

If the Palestinians do not take advantage of that opportunity, that's their loss.

@oralloy,
Not his call, especially since he has no clue what he's doing. Sending Kushner was the worst mistake, thinking he's oh so special that he can handle it is another.

@neptuneblue,
Mr. Trump has every right to present a peace plan if he wants to do so.

It is hard to see how sending Mr. Kushner was any kind of mistake. What's the problem?

Clearly he did handle it. A peace plan has been presented.

@oralloy,
Because it's rhetoric and it is far from the "last chance."

@neptuneblue,
The peace process is dead. What other chances do you think the Palestinians are going to have?

@oralloy,
About the same as they've had in the past 60+ years or so.

@neptuneblue,
Everyone is out of patience with the Palestinians. They are being walled off and forgotten. Meanwhile settlement construction continues and will eventually squeeze the Palestinians out of the West Bank altogether.

@oralloy,
Palestinians are not out of patience. The have a millennial. Just like the past 2000 years or so of conflict. And you seem to think Thump is going to "solve" this? Keep dreaming.

Make that 1400 years. Islam started and still fuels this conflict.

Doesn't matter, you wouldn't get it either way. Are you really that stupid?

@neptuneblue,
Then I hope the Palestinians enjoy spending the next thousand years walled off and forgotten.

Who said anything about Mr. Trump solving anything? There is nothing to be solved here. The Palestinians will either take the opportunity that he has given them or they won't.

@oralloy,
Doesn't look good for Trump.

There can be a better way for both sides. Trump just won't be a part of it.

@neptuneblue,
There isn't a better way. There are only two options.

a) Land for peace. This requires the Palestinians to agree to peace.

b) Being walled off and forgotten while they are slowly squeezed out of the West Bank.

Mr. Trump is doing just fine in all of this. If the Palestinians reject the opportunity that he has given them, they will be the only ones to suffer for their folly.

@oralloy,
Trump isn't doing anything except causing more of a problem than it already is. It's Israel's issue, not ours. So much for America First, another broken promise of the Twit in Command.

@neptuneblue,
That silly. Mr. Trump is not causing any problems or making any problems any worse.

If it's not our issue, do you think that Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were also wrong to promote a two-state solution?

What does America first have to do with any of this? A president can propose a peace plan while still putting America first.

@oralloy,
If Israel thought Trump's proposal was good, they'd have done that many years ago when it was suggested under Clinton.

@neptuneblue,
What are you talking about? Israel is not rejecting Mr. Trump's proposal, and they did not reject Mr. Clinton's proposals.
