Weeeellll, JTT....it's just that people who get something wrong (we all do it...no problem really, just correct the error,I say) and then turn nasty when corrected, are not really worth bothering with as regards future discussion.

Here's your sledgehammer JTT, I may borrow it again in the future, as I didnt get around to using it this time, after all.

I think thats enough sledging and hammering for now...speaking of which who saw Liverpool hammer Milan last night?

I'm sure there's a connection to Galloway somewhere

Yes Steve, I saw it and there IS a connection......the Liverpool fans were so outstanding last night, that they may be in need of some of our "Galloways Cough Medicine....for the relief of coughs and hoarseness."

I wasn't taking sides; truth be told, I kinda just skipped over that little kerfuffle. Actually, I was trying to lighten things up a bit. Don't know if I succeeded.

But if either of ya needs it again, it's in the shed. Just put it back when you're done.

Thanks JTT, but today I'm going to need a good lawnmower, as it has been ideal growing conditions for my lawn, and I'm thinking of taking off the top six inches with a machete, as my old mower is a bit knackered.
The dog went out into the lawn yesterday evening, and is still trying to find its way out again.

Dont happen to have a quality mower, do you?

Or a machete?

An example of how, when one gets one's facts wrong, one should apologize.
Note.....humour was used to hide my total embarrassment at making myself look silly.

And Tico's gracious, nay witty reply is on this page, confirming that he accepted the apology, and also that he recognised the humour therein.

NB...I still think that he is a cigar chomping correctionist.

Considering how good he is at researching, checking and correcting pieces of evidence, I must say that he selected his avatar well, for its level of smugness.

Anyone thought of sending some of Galloway's medicine to Norm Coleman?

Maybe another Iraqi "source" with a crafty pen might help at this moment in time.....Coleman is furiously trying to dig up more "evidence" as we discuss this, I would imagine.

I do enjoy your posts, LordE but now I see you gotten my spade out of the shed for a few more digs. Smile

Put it back when you're done. Sorry, no lawn mower, I use horses for that.

LOL Bernie - relieved to hear you're not related to the Lathams that the ship sunk by Capt. Schwieger was named for. When you told me to meet you at Pier 54, former home of the Lusitania when docked in New York, I rather thought you planned to push me into the water due to my own family's background - just kidding!

Not for even an instant. The other fellow though - the one with the braying-walrus moustache who we glimpsed beating a crippled child with that child's own crutches while at the same time clutching tight with his other hand a packet of NSA documents and yet, in this physical extremity, maintaining a sunny outward demeanor, the fellow who, in short, seemed the very image of John Bolton - he was at some risk.

It wasnt meant as a dig, JTT, just as a guide for anyone who may not know how to take a certain course of action.
There ARE other ways of doing it, this just happened to be the type of apology I chose to offer on that particular occasion.
If I had made a serious slight against someone's character or intelligence, for instance, I would probably have chosen a more serious and sincere approach.

All here and accounted for, I see. Now, Bolton, that is a heady topic for another discussion. I imagine someone has started one already. I should go look.

Such knowledge of history here. I am ashamed by my ignorance, and so say nothing.

Put it this way....if Coleman had trounced Galloway on that day, he would have raised his own political profile enormously...some say it would have probably shot him well on the way to the White House.
So, just think about all the money HE could have made. He could have ended up as rich as Bush, Rumsfeld and Cheney, easily outstripping the possible money that Galloway will get.

I have just been reading about how the Koch family seem to be very much embroiled in the food for oil scandal.....for anyone who may not know the Kochs....George W's sister is married to one of them, and they were one of his (republican) biggest donors.

I think this thing (unless it is all hushed up, of course) is going to get VERY interesting. It is too widely reported now, for any real cover up to be effective.....lets just hope that they get a Senator with more than one brain cell this time, and a strong backbone, to investigate this matter.
