@McTag,

Quote:
Hey George, what's the Latin for

"I decided to dye my skin with indelible ink so I can look like a complete prat."?

I wonder what's the Latin for

"I hereby mark my skin in a language I don't understand, to be read by people who don't understand it either"

Will this make me look cool, or what?

Here's a chap from the paper today.
It was not in the Style section.

@push,
somnia vera venit <= dreams come true

I'd suggest:
somnia vera evadunt

I am also looking at getting a small tattoo in Latin. Can you please translate the following, as this is just a reminder to myself to be kind and not so judgmental, quick tongued - to let things just pass. Thank you!!

'rise above'
'just breathe'
'be silent'
'let it be'
'silence is salvation'

@granell14,

From The Bible, Leviticus Chapter 19 v. 28

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)

You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

Hello,

Could you please help me with this translation. "C'est la vie", or such is life. It doesn't have to be an exact translation, but something short and sweet that expresses the general idea.

Thanks much!
George

@elanymire,
I'd say:

Sic est vita

@evalewis,
If you mean a site that translates given block of text into any other
language, I don't know of any that does it with a great deal of accuracy.

@Fredericus,
Do you mean "I miss my sanity" or "To miss my sanity" or something else?
