One organization I am part of sent me this email for Texans:
Hey everyone,
You want to help the fight for citizen-led democracy in America, but sometimes it’s hard to know exactly how. The first thing to do is sub-divide the big goal into manageable pieces. It is the collection of smaller tasks that will add up to a massive moment.
Between now and Wednesday, can you contribute 1 – 2 hours of your time?
The task is simply online research into statewide races to determine precisely which campaigns need to hear from us between now and the Primaries. No calls, no emails, just some online research.
Email me and I will describe the 1 – 2 – 3 steps to take, and assign you a set of 5 to 10 races to do research on.
A new Morning Consult/POLITICO poll was conducted to determine which possible contenders for the 2020 presidential Democratic nomination were viewed favorably by Democrats. The survey asked about 19 what it called “possible contenders to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.” The list surprisingly didn’t include 2016 runner-up Bernie Sanders.
It shows that real liberals - progressives if you prefer - are being systematically excluded. Something you might expect from Republicans, but these are Democrats.
Oh well, if Republicans such as Joe whatitsname who had a love fest going on with Trump during the campaign of 2016 said democrats are weak, it must be true. They gave him more free press than anyone.
