@Setanta,
You are allowed your personal opinion. He is virtually the only one in the ballpark when it comes to making the Democratic party viable anymore.

@edgarblythe,
What is he doing, or has he ever done, to make the Democrats "viable?" I think you are deluding yourself.

@Setanta,
While Democrats in general follow Republicans with Republican Light he works to get us back to what we had when the new deal was in effect - modernized to include updates, such as healthcare for all. Establishment Democrats always talk progress, then have to explain why they don't ever fight for much of anything.

@edgarblythe,
They said our country wasn’t ready for a black president.
They said Bernie would flame out early.

I don’t listen to “them” anymore. I fight like hell for what I know is right.

@Lash,
If Bernie or someone with his principles does not run, Trump will be back, like a bad nightmare. If they run a retread of Hillary, it's already over with.

It’s been said by people smarter than me that some people who voted for Trump did so, not because they like the man or even thought that he’d be good for the country, but did so because they wanted to piss off “the left”.

I had a hard time understanding this mindset at first. Now I spend most of my time fighting the urge to vomit at some of what I read.

Let me tell you, people plow Edgar are not winning any new followers with your message on this board.

20-25 years ago might have been useful for Bernie

Even now is. Plenty of young folk who like his ideas and ideals. They are full aware that both sides of the houses are self-serving, constituent mutilating, unmitigated disasters. Bernie is a light in the storm, a ray of hope for the future. These youngsters are our future as well and if they can be sparked and motivated to making changes, creating a new party, then, in a way, Bernie Sanders will have had success.

Many of the older generations have become jaded and disheartened over time and we can clearly see and hear the possibility of a better, brighter future when Sanders speaks. Some of us have begun treading the road to recovery from where the nation has descended. Our actions and words can help the youth see promise and grab the lifeline to the brighter future before it becomes too late and they too become forlorn, sorrowful and dejected. You're welcome to join on the road too!

@Sturgis,
How long do you think it'll take before we see progress on the Sander's ideals?

@edgarblythe,
You think Pelosi might be getting senile?

At my age, I don't worry about what our government does, because I have absolutely no control. When you don't have control, and you try to change things all by your lonesome, it's a useless battle. That's something I learned during my 82 years on this planet.

Why people want everything sugar coated is beyond me. If you don't want the facts, wherever they lead, then the others already have won.

@edgarblythe,
Facts don't lead, people do. You were led to your current version of orange-haired hell by Putin, and that's a fact. Bernie Sanders knew better but you never listened to a word he said.

You are totally stupid, since I had my candidate picked long before that Russian **** even started, as I told you before, but you rudely ignored.

nope

he needed to start his own party , build it from the ground up ... municipal/state/then federal

he doesn't have 20 years in front of him

__

I support young people who are doing the groundwork for change now.

He is past his sell-by date and seems to be running for sheer ego now.

@edgarblythe,
You sound more and more like the average republican here. You know, Gunga and the likes.

- obsess over Hillary Clinton as if she was the devil incarnate: done!
- spread rumors about some Democrat's alledged pedophilia: done!
- insult other posters profusely when they prove you wrong: done!

@Olivier5,
Our opinions differ.

I try not to vote for anyone over 40. He is well past his sell-by date. My opinion is that he has always had an extraordinary ego and nothing has changed.
