Not to be a party pooper, because I don't mean it that way, but I am thinking of a fellow who was both extremely short and had kind of flippers for arms and truncated legs, who used to 'perform' at Venice Beach. I have a slight and maybe not accurate memory that he had a hard life that might have included sexual stuff. As that may not be true of him, let me put that as conjecture for possible others like him.

I gave him money a lot of times on my beach walks. No, I was not attracted to him, but he was an engaged human and I liked him.

I can only guess that people who would try to have sex with such a person would be users, it seems cruel. On the other hand, I can only blink at what his need for love must have been.

Could any of you empathize with being a midget or smaller?

They must have sexual needs, and we all wonder... and I can picture various frolicking too. Anyone at all here who can empathize?

All this brings up that we actually have a successful show at our gallery, through no fault of our own, and people are coming in in droves, including, today, this guy I swear is 6' - 6"... commanded the room as he walked in.

So, he went away without buying and he was just one more visitor.

As no one as defined midget I googled the word looking for a definition. Of the first 20 listings, 8 were for midget sex/porn? The best formal definition I could find was: An extremely small person who is otherwise normally proportioned. When I was a newly minted and naïve graduate student I gave my heart and soul to a girl who was just over four feet tall (she said she was petite). She dumped me like an empty paper cup for a guy who had a PhD in microbiology (genetics), a tenure track offer from Duke, and a family who's money was old enough to be accused of slave trading. Midgets are cruel.

Why don't you start a thread about it? Seriously. It could be an interesting topic. And there's no reason why a jokey thread and a serious thread can't exist side by side. All the better, even, I'd say. Because the unwillingness to start a serious thread about it seems a bad reason to argue that a jokey thread shouldnt, then, exist either ... you know?
