A friend from professional circles and I have been spending a lot of time together at dinner/drinks. He has invested a lot of time getting to know me. He's extremely thoughtful and sweet but has never crossed the line romantically. I can't tell if he just thinks of me as a friend or is open to more but is just shy or afraid of rejection. Should I risk it by telling him I'm open to an affair? Not knowing is killing me and driving me to distraction.

Is this the same guy you posted about just last week or so?
Don't bet on him making a move for an affair. He's having too much fun flirting with you. But he won't make the big move because he knows his boundaries.
