I stopped at the Build-A-Bear Workshop in the mall on the way into work this afternoon because my bunny needed a few things. (She sits on an eye level shelf above my desk in my office and has on either a nightie or a dress depending on what my department decides to put on her. Every time I go to my desk, I notice that her legs are open and she's "showing her all." I keep thinking she needs panties.) Anyhow, I brought the bunny and the bag to lunch with me so I could put on her new things. Before I could do anything, my pal Joe walked into the room, sat down, noticed her, and took her from me. He then proceeded to redress the bunny with a look of intense concentration on his face. I've still got the giggles. I mean, how often do you see a 25 year old man dress a stuffed rabbit? I shoulda' had the camera!

Well, it didn't happen today exactly, but I'm still smiling.

Last week I was with my sainted mother in Walmart.
(I drive up to Mass. from Rogues Island weekly to take her shopping)

Mother has her share of quirks.
Among them is a dislike of being attended by male cashiers. So, invariably as we go to checkout she looks for a female cashier.

Last Thursday as we approached the Walmart registers with me in the lead, Mom said in a loud voice: 'jjorge, I want you to find a woman.'

I thought I heard someone softly say: 'Here!' and I looked back over my shoulder.

There was the smiling face of a plump young woman who had just passed us while Mom was speaking!

I haven't grinned that broadly in years!

The contents of my freezer have been in a snowbank in the backyard since Friday night, awaiting the arrival of this fridge, msOlga.

I can hardly wait to be able to load it up!

Not rear ending the asian lady who kept stopping in the merge lane and then driving past the guy who did hit her, gave him the thumbs up and her the finger. Very Happy

Osso made me laugh today - I was feeling like sh** and she answered something about staring herself down in a bathroom mirror. I tried it and laughed out loud at myself. Good medicine!

And how are you?

I'm feeling pretty contented with life this morning. Odd, considering I'm looking for work right now. But hey, why be utterly miserable about something you can't control, I say?

This morning I spied a few weeds in my garden & thought I'd remove them before they grew any larger .... Well, 3 hours later I was still at it: moving plants that weren't happy, dividing succulents, generally getting happily filthy. Now THAT made me smile, I love getting so engrossed in my garden that I forget everything else! Very Happy

My friend Dragonma was to arrive this evening at 11:30 pm ... found out that her flight was bumped, now doesn't arrive until 5:30 pm tomorrow ............ not that that made me smile, but what did was that she is an adventurous soul and probably is enjoying every minute of her night at the Hilton:)

Smiling because my ex-hubby called to prepare me to accept a date from my son ~ he wants to take me out for dinner as a congratulations for getting my job. Shhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

My son will be spending the weekend with me and even though I 'know' the secret, it will be very sweet hearing it from him.

Tell you what ~ as far as I'm concerned, there is nothing more gratifying than knowing your child is proud of you.

I went to the nearby pet supplies shop, Jeff's Bark and Scratch, to pick up some things for the dogs. As I turned to leave, Jeff handed me a beautiful rose, which made me smile. He said, "It's Valentine's Day, and I want to make everyone smile." So, I smiled again, and I'm smiling now as I look at the long-stemmed rose beside me here.

incoming spam - with the title, "Help! Aliens Grew My Cock Overnight"

da-amn ... howdthey think it up?

also - colorful language. In some early-century (the 20th, that is) political indignation, for example, the author (I'd bet it was a reverend) is demanding the deportation of the offending group "in ships of stone with sails of lead, with the wrath of God for a breeze and with hell for their first port". Da-amn ...! ;-)
