OK, Mr. nimh. I most assuredly will, but first I must remind myself. For now adieu...sheeeeeze. I love it when I speak French.
Good point, nimh...Back to everyday experiences.
I was at the gas station this afternoon: pump your own gas and pay for it right there with a credit card.
The customer ahead of my truck was (probably) a college kid who filled up his tank while talking all of the time on his cell-phone. I pulled up around him as he was waiting to leave the station. I noticed that he had left the gas cap off and the little gas trap door thing open. Gas was running down the side of his car.
I've never been able to make the horn on my new truck give out a short "beep-beep." I punched it; he looked back but ignored me. I tried again. He turned around and gave me the finger.
I put the truck in park and set the brake. I walked up to his car. He opened the window a crack but locked the door.
He ended up apologizing profusely for behaving like a jerk and we laughed about the concept of a 57 year old being a threat to a 21 year old who was at least 100 lbs. heavier.

Good for you RJB for being the bigger person!
My Rae's puppy, she's 13 years old, came to visit for the weekend, and is adorable ... however, our two kitties are hiding behind my bed, in my closet and will not show their faces!
Meantime, Maggie (our puppie) has had a bath, food, and is sleeping peacefully with a blanket.
She's loving her vacation:)
What emotion is that little face supposed to convey? Is it afraid of something? Is it welcoming? Is it yelling at me? I don't know, I think it looks kind of shifty . . .
Its always struck me as a bit angry ... but Ive seen others use it like as to show glee or a guffaw or something ... I dunno. Could be a blow-up doll I s'pose ...
Were you surprised? Me neither. Hmmm . . . maybe I'll just assign him my own meaning . . . I think from now on, if somebody ever uses that symbol with me I will take it to mean that they like to sneak into the zoo late at night and have sex with monkeys.
Maggie has been with us for about six hours now and she feels quite at home which makes me feel great.
Our cats seemed to have hibernated for a few days, but I really don't care because Maggie is happy and the mosyt comfortable I've seen her in years ~ I've been her Momma since she was five weeks old and I think that bond is still very stong.....I'm looking forward to her sleeping behind my head and on top of my pillow tonight......such a cute puppy.
G'night ya'll.
It always makes me smile to see Johnboy's anecdotes.
The question about Black Moonlight was on my "So Called Music Lovers Thread." I'll have to find the link to it.
Of course, seeing all my Florida buddies here and elsewhere, makes me smile
I've been cleaning up the kitchen, in anticipation of the arrival of a new refrigerator next Saturday.
Finally, got everything off the coat rack in there. Toward the bottom, an apron I used to wear all the time. Tossed it down the stairs to wash it, but before I did, I took off the buttons on it. Does anyone still wear buttons?
Say No to Drugs
YPT Plays for a better world ( i used to be a volunteer for the young people's theatre - i've got a lot of their advertising bits )
and
Canadian Alliance in Solidarity with Native Peoples.
A lot of memories coming from those 3 buttons/pins.
Smile-making memories.
Seeing Maggie, part daschund and part cocker spaniel, all curled up after eating a chicken dinner, so contented, and so loved.
Meantime, every half hour or so, I'm off to my bedroom to find my hiding kitties from the Monster Maggie, to pet them and love them and coax them into eating.
I feel so bad for them, but smiled because they know they are loved, so much.
What made me smile today was speaking to my friend, Roger.
I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't met him ~ he's a great man, a wonderful friend.....and I miss him.
Ha! Downloaded a new update for my Adaware. I just knew it would find a new lot of little nasties that previous scans had missed - it did! Got 14 of th elittle smeggers.....heehee...

Damn, those Moroccan girls are getting gutsy nowadays! Was passing this group of four of them on the street just when one was affectionately scolding another as "you cancer womb", after which she turned to me, random passer-by, and asked, "Mister, can I get your number?" I'm all, what would you need my number for? She's all, "so I can call you, cause I find you an attractive man". Hah! That shows nerve, to take the piss like that without a beat. So I stifled an appreciative guffaw, made my retort and walked away grinning ... god, they're getting like Dutch ghetto girls! ;-)
Smiling, knowing that women everywhere are picking up on that lovely Nimh vibe.
What also made me smile today was ambling around in the sun, yes sun, and sitting down on a bench in the main square like a bunch of other people, with further crowds milling around for Sunday shopping - like its spring! On February 1! Sometimes you just gotta love that greenhouse effect ...
But last night it was still storming, especially in Rotterdam, a fierce autumn storm. It wasnt all so bad on the ground, tho I had to help this girl out whose bike was literally blowing out of her hands - but the sounds from up where the skyscrapers tower up were fierce! Intimidating.
I got to hang out in the station hall there for a while, too, waiting 20 minutes for my train. I love hanging out at Rotterdam Central Station, especially on a Saturday evening. The people there are so beautiful! They're all so different, and all are dressed up to the T for their night out - cute Chinese boys with spiky hair and trendy sneakers with their pretty girlfriends with long black hair, the Antillean and Surinamese girls done up in everything that can make a woman as much of a woman as womanly possible, high boots, short skirts, bosoms like horizons and hair done up in a dozen different ways - and the guys all looking like they be da prime gangsta in da place, all attitude and smoothness - all on the war path for a weekend conquest ... <grins> ... gotta love this country. Only pity is that the Dutch end up looking so pathetic in comparison, down-to-earth no-frills get-from-A-to-B-as-effectively-as-possible practicality above everything ... <winks>
