Having a cup of tea with my niece. She's two and a half, and drinks black tea! Shocked

Girls are the best! I am soooooooooooo glad I had girls, they are a constant source of joy and surprise in my life!

You know the old saying?

A son is a son 'til he takes a wife ...
A daughter is a daughter the rest of her life........!!!

So true!

(late entry for Friday 14 November)

I had an inspection of the new home I'm buying in Providence. My brother and I went with the inspector and we went over the house from top to bottom for 2 1/2 hours. It is a WONDERFUL house and only five minutes from my work and downtown Providence!

We close in two months. I can hardly wait. :-)

The fact that I was so tired last night I dropped into bed without checking my alarm. . .

. . . only to have it wake me up at 7:30 this morning. My consistent laziness and the hassles it causes me produced a wary smile. . .

((((Letty))))

Hi Letty et al. I've MISSED you guys!

Lately I've just been 'popping in' to A2K a couple of times a week.
Mostly it's been for a couple of minutes at a time to read a few threads.

My 'Dean Duties' and what a friend has called 'the black hole of home-buying' have been gobbling up most of time.

It's hard to stay away from such a great group of people though, and I am stealing back more and more.

your friend, jjorge

BTW

Hi Princessash. Very Happy Bienvenido a A2k.

Though you and I may not have conversed as such on Abu-- , I remember you well from your posts there.

I'm SURE you're going to like A2K, and I'm also sure that you'll be a valued member of this little community.

Hi ehBeth! Very Happy Nice to see you!

I've got a few poems simmering on the back burner....not sure when they'll be 'cooked' though.

PS
Want to see my new house? It has a cool virtual tour (click under the picture). The realtor hasn't gotten around to pulling the ad yet.

Hi jjorge :-) I remember you as well. . . in that part of my hazy, backwater, shall-I-say-it-Abuzz memory :-) I'm getting the hang of things. . .

I had to smile today when I looked out my window and saw Clem Barthins and his wife, Beatrice, drive by on their tractor on the way to church. I told Clem last week to take the car when he goes to church, hell, I'm sure Beatrice doesn't like riding on the back of the tractor, standing up and holding on to the metal tractor seat. They drove by, Clem waved, but Beatrice was too busy holding the seat with one hand and her flowered hat with the other.

I smiled and went back to my bowl of Fruity Pebbles.
