@bobsal u1553115,
In all fairness, it is 'Stroh's.......
🤔

Way back when I drank beer, one brand I drank was Shiner Bock. It was pretty good for a cheap beer!

@BillW,
Shiner Bock is what I'll have someplace where the beer list is Bud, Miller Lite, Lone Star, Shiner Bock. Its the only honest one in the group. It doesn't disappoint.

Back in the day in Ohio, Stroh's was 3.2 and the only beer that could be bought on Sunday.

@bobsal u1553115,

@farmerman,
I think you're right, back in the day late winter was the only time to be able to get bock. It was literally the bottom of the barrel - yeasty and hi-test. Those were the days - $.50 bock at the student union Rathskeller.

Good times.

@bobsal u1553115,
The German saying "Stroh im Kopf haben" translates to to have straw in your head ("to be as thick as two short planks").

@bobsal u1553115,
Well, we certainly don't praise the beer until we've experienced the hangover, but Arendt shy to say that half drunk is wasted money.

@Walter Hinteler,
Half drunk was also seen by me, to be a waste of time!

Eventually,I realized the cure for hangovers was not to get them. That simply meant staying drunk all the time.

One day I had to abandon my slow self-annihilation and booze.

@Sturgis,
That is a function of age. I've noticed my hand basket to hell has slowed and I don't take the banks so high anymore.
