@vonny,
Smile worthy any day of the week.
@vonny,
Vonny, I don't have clue if you ever interacted with Patiodog. Many of us plain love him, not that you have to. Yes, a veterinarian.
He posted a lot before he stopped, so settle down and read if you can check his posts out.
@ossobuco,
Thanks for that - I've found the thread entitled 'Patiopup's personal compost heap' - will check it out - looks promising!
@vonny,
See, I'm laughing already and I don't remember what is in that thread.
Edit - I hadn't read that thread before, at least that I remember from starting to read it now.
@ossobuco,
I just finished page one, which it turns out I did read back then.
Egads, I miss him posting.

I was getting off the bus, which is difficult for me. My legs ain't so good. A man walking down the street saw me struggling and came over and offered me his arm for support. I'm usually reluctant to take someone's help--not enough support. But this was a big guy, and he didn't offer his hand; he offered his arm.
I leaned on his arm. It was as solid as a rock. He said, "There are still a few gentlemen left in New York." I said, "And I just met one." We both smiled and he walked away. Then he turned back toward me, pumped his arms, and shouted, "Brooklyn." I gave my arms a semipump and shouted, "The Bronx." The man gave a big laugh, turned, and walked away. I laughed too. Then I smiled for a while.
I love da big apple.
@Roberta,
Ah Boidy, aint folks great!!!!
@glitterbag,
glitter, Some is; some ain't. I've been lucky to have encountered more ises than ain'ts recently.
@Roberta,
More than a smile: We're going to Hawaii tomorrow!
@cicerone imposter,
Color me green with envy.
@George,
But imagine how much food that trip would provide the dumpster dwellers living around Silicon Valley! They could probably feed them all for weeks on the airfare alone.
@Roberta,
I love the Big Apple too! I visited there for a few days when I ended a cruise from Copenhagen to NYC over one year ago. Met with a couple of a2kers at the hotel bar, and enjoyed some chit chat. Took the VIP tour of NYC, and really enjoyed going to the top of the Empire State Building that I've done several times in the past, but many decades ago.
@cicerone imposter,
Diane and I went out for coffee to a local donut/bagel shop. There was a big handwritten sign on the wall, clearly by a happy customer, a taped up yellow paper with Thank you for the yummy donuts on it in big scrawly letters.

@tsarstepan,
OMG eggs shaped like a banana, that turned my stomach.
