I had to smile when I read that Christie was deemed father-of-the-year.

The man is a sleaze of the highest order, and hardly sets a good example for kids. But, when it comes to the GOP, one must expect this kind of nonsense.

Many people still don't understand the idea of FREEDOM. Donald Sterling (as an example) will never understand he's a bigot and uncouth individual who has all the freedoms this country offers, and yet seems to need the blanket of superiority over others.

Oh this day in 1943 my parents were married in the Chaplin's quarters at Ft. Moultrie in South Carolina. My mother arrived by train from Baltimore. My Grandfather who worked for the B&O railroad, insisted she check her bags because it would be easier for her to travel. Mom arrived on time, but the dress she had made to get married in arrived 2 days after the wedding.

I have a beautiful portrait of my parents, after the dress arrived, Dad in an Army Air Corp Uniform and my mother in a beautiful sapphire blue velvet dress. They made a lovely couple. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad, we miss you.

I dropped my phone into a cup of darjeeling tea last night while driving the car. I didn't realize it until pulling into my driveway, after 25 miles.

Between the vacuum nozzle, a bowl of rice and a can of compressed air, luckily it's working today.

I felt naked without my phone, even though I wasn't expecting anything.

Thank goodness it was Darjeeling tea. If it was Lapsang souchong tea, your phone would have been fried. Nasty stuff that Lapsang souchong is!
