That's wine and wisteria.
The wine grew until about 1958 - then the street/pavement was redone and we removed it.
The new owners now removed the wisteria ... but kept the plants in the soil (roots, plus about three about pavement). [They had to, actually, for conservatory reasons, since the house is a listed monument.]

Thanks, I liked the combo... especially now that I know what it was.

@George,
An important letter, that I thought was lost, reached its destination.

@George,
Can't wait for George's vacation either! Very Happy

Tonight - Glen Campbell's Goodbye Tour hit Toronto. He's 75, has Alzheimer's and was on stage for an hour and a half other than a brief tinkle break (that's why they made the Alzheimer's announcement - he tends to suddenly decide he has to tinkle - announces it and leaves the stage). There were moments when his glorious voice was really there - he still has a great sense of humour - the audience just adored him. I just smiled and smiled and sang and sang and smiled.

@eurocelticyankee,
Thank you very much. What's even better, is that the University in question is Southampton, just about half a mile away.

@izzythepush,
Also Celtic defender Jos Hooiveld has just joined Saints on loan. I guess that makes him a EuroCelticSotonian.

@Thomas,
Made me smile too, Thomas.

RH, We didn't name the jernt. We just ate there. Divine food that not only tastes wonderful but looks beautiful.

Every time Stephen made me laugh, I had a mouthful of Pepsi. His timing was impeccable. Nobody got spritzed.

BTW, Thomas loves to have dinner with me. He gets all of his food and half of mine.

@dlowan,
Managing to get all the groceries into the refrigerator and get the door shut on it was reason to smile. That and the new dustpan and whisk broom I got.

The Berkshires, the Hudson River Valley, and the Erie Canal.
And driving under the Appalachian Trail.
And "Kick-Ass Brown" ale with my golabki & pierogis at The Albany Pump Station.

We drove from Stoneham Ma to Syracuse NY today.
Niagara Falls tomorrow.
