I'm giggling now at everyone talking at cross porpoises.
Reminded me of this song.

@littlek,
Quote:Aidan what a treasure you have found....
Yes, we went on a walk with my dog Thursday and when we got to my gate she asked me, 'Is this where you're burning?' (living) and it made me think as she thinks and we are all burning - expending and emitting energy - she has a genius that's all her own.
Reading this just made me smile:
Quote:Chile: Rescuers Reach Trapped Miners
After 65 days underground, the trapped Chilean miners finally have a way out after drilling broke through to their cave.
Rescue workers have finished drilling an escape shaft for the trapped men.
A drill broke through to their cavern more than 2,000 feet (624 meters) underground, creating a shaft just wide enough for a specially designed escape capsule to pass through.
The sound of the siren that signalled the breakthrough thrilled the miners' families, prompting cheers, tears and the ringing of bells.
The 33 men have been trapped since a gold and copper mine collapsed above them on August 5.
The mining minister has said the miners are preparing themselves for the next stages.
"This is am important achievement," said Laurence Golborne.
"But we haven't rescued anybody. This rescue won't be over until the last person below leaves this mine."
Rescuers will decide later when to start evacuating the trapped men.
They also have to decide whether to pull the miners through reinforced rock, or insert tons of heavy steel pipe into the shaft to protect the men on their way up.
The steel would prevent stones from falling and potentially jamming the capsule, but it would not save a miner if the mine suffered another major collapse.
It would also delay the opertion to free them by several days.
Sky News' US correspondent Robert Nisbet is with the miners' families at the San Jose mine.
He said: "The atmosphere here is extraordinary.
"I have to say for the last few days this has become a relatively solemn place on the hillside where the 33 flags are, one representing each of the miners.
"Families have tended to come up here and remember their loved ones trapped underground.
"But today has been a time of celebration and as soon as the families heard the bell they were racing to the flag of their loved one,
"There was tears and screaming. It has been a complete relief."
@aidan,
Now the really difficult stage of the rescue begins.

Dante the cat and Sally the dog curled up on each side of Dys.
He hasn't been feeling well and they feel he needs them to add warmth to the bed and a cuddle, which is always a good idea.
@Diane,
What's with Dys? Com'on, share.
There was a band called Three Dog Night.
Probably eskimos.
We all hope Dys is feeling better today. I have met Sally, the dog. A good dog. I saw Dante, the cat, lounging in the window. We steered clear of each other, both realizing we would probably not get along well.
@realjohnboy,
Maybe Dys can put on some weight and gain energy by drinking Ensure--it is sold in every market, comes in delicious flavors.
Watching Juan,the man we called to help us with some yard work. It took him 4 hours to trim and weedwhack along the driveway and the perimeter of our half acre property which fronts on our street front & back. The grass (weeds?) had grown over the street about a foot. After sweeping that all up and disposing of that stuff he gave us a price of $30. He couldn't help that he didn't have the heavy equipment that would have made it quicker, instead he cut off those thick weeds with some kind of shears. So, we gave him $40, a bag of golf balls and about 8 tons of boulders that surround our oak trees (they attract ants and other creepies.) He has a customer who wants to put them, somehow,in her garden.
Juan had to sell his newish Mexican restaurant, Patricia's (my name). He seems to be picking up enough customers in this new line of work. So many people out of work.
I'm still smiling because I won an argument with Dys: he just won't admit it.
@farmerman,
Nothing made me smile today. I can't stop smirking long enough to smile.
Looking at the photographer's slideshow of pictures
