@Roberta,
Quote:
This made me smile yesterday. Does it count?

Came back from running an errand and saw a giganto, humongous, BIG, and large dog in my lobby waiting for the elevator with his owner. A long-haired rottweiler, 135 pounds of canine named Buster. Petted Buster. Talked to Buster. Connected with Buster. Buster made me smile.
it counts, 'boida... it counts!

@Region Philbis,
A long haired rotweiller? I never hoid of such a thing!

I laughed at the garage where I spent most of my day. (My car died again on the way to work - it's been a mess since Friday when I hit a huge puddle.) The place is great. It's as dingy and gross as any garage you can think of. But, instead of girlie pages on the walls, they have pictures drawn by their kids and grandkids. You can hear portuguese, spanish, and italian spoken there (I bet you could hear more languages spoken inside the garage bay itself). The place is a local hang out for tow truck drivers and others. They come in after their night shift and hang out - having a fun time talking politics and poking fun at eachother.

Classic.

Not today, but yesterday:

I received a warm greeting card from an "estranged" friend I thought I'd not hear from again in a hurry, if ever again..... it's been something like 2 years now. I can't tell you what pleasure it gave me to read her words. So now I have sent back my own greeting card & message to her - & we'll see what happens ...!

I've got the news news news all the time station on the teeeveee. They play a clip from the Pope's Christmas message about every 15 - 20 minutes. The clip they've got starts with some lovely music - which is also the theme to The Vicar of Dibley.

Makes me a teensy bit giddy each time.

Once it's time for a tiny adult beverage, I'll be laughing louder each time it comes on.

Does the Pope not know about Geraldine?

A couple of years ago, my employees gave me a bread making machine. I used it at least once a week for awhile but then set it aside. I dragged it out Chrismas day and made something quite basic. The smell of fresh bread was awesome. I lost all of my recipes but will start over.

Clive is going back to work. I'm doing the Dance of Joy!

The agency he's been working with emailed him to say he's getting a 6-month
contract with GSA in the Tip O'Neil Federal Building in Boston. He had worked
there before on a six-month contract and they renewed it twice.
