He's ten, almost eleven. I'm really proud of him -- I'm not sure I could have appreciated that movie at his age! I'm thinking that it would be a great time to get him involved with some instrument, for sure. Thanks for asking!

Yeah, if he's interested, definitely!
I saw Amadeus when I was about... 12? And it made a big impression on me.

I think I was about 14 or 15 when I first saw it, and it's been a fave ever since.
BTW, you're story about sozlet made me smile too -- it's so awesome to watch the minds of little ones in action!
Hey, LibertyD! Thanks for giving me a great idea! I've been looking into piano lessons & piano for Chris, and this movie might be just what it takes to get him started on the right track...WOW! Talk about timing!

Great, Eva! Let me know how it goes!
Off I go to my first "real" job interview in almost two years (got one w/Wiltel, which is a feat even in good times)...so I'm smiling, already. woohoo! What a great way to start the day. Come on, lady luck!

What made me happy today was driving in my car around some backroads at home here in the UK.

I have to credit the Food Network. They ran a story on "vintage" candy last night.
Finding that website made me smile. ('Cause they have the same candies my Babcie [that's Grandmother in Polish] used to give me.)

It's overcast and cool this morning--a break from all the sun we've been having. Now, if only it would rain.
(I know this may sound weird, but things get really out of whack here when it's dry for too long...)
<pssst.....Bethie.....THAT website sells 'em by the case>

I'm FINALLY painting the living room after talking about it FOREVER! Even though the color is much more red than I expected, I love it......and I have yet to spill any paint.

Big smile: The living room is done (and looks terrific I must say).
Bitter irony: The dining room is now TRASHED because I got all "Trading Spaces" while I was putting the room back together and decided that the bar needed to switch rooms, but so did the bookshelves....but now these candles just don't belong in this room...but THIS would look fabulous right over here.....
Now I've got a GREAT living room and a dining room that looks like a tornado hit it. <sigh> It's a good thing I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday.

Smiled at my boss who told me to leave work early today. I said "Who's working?".

Smiled at Miss HildiDoo. Great about the living room! Give details, somewhere. Or pics! Pics would be good.

Curling up on the settee after giving the kittens their breakfast with them both curled up under my chin purring and warm and cuddly.
