Black tulip - pupils are funny, no matter what their age!

I just got in touh with an old friend and it was like those 6 years hadn't elapsed - just like old times. Neither of us knew whether it was a good or bad thing that we hadn't changed.

Littlek--

After puberty, women don't "change". Our characters simply become more concentrated and intense.

I can't find the opposing thread to this one: "What made you grimace..."
Three times today, I was wished "Happy Memorial Day." Sigh.

My boy (8years) told me I was the only beautiful woman in the world. That is pretty sweet! And how soon will that pass!

My daughter playing kitty this morning.

No clothes on, crawling on all fours meowing over and over again

She was rubbing her head on the walls and on the couch mimicking our cats.

She races into her room, and comes out a few minutes later crawling again.. and still pretending to be a cat.

She makes her way over to me and says " Look mama.. Im a kitty .. see my tail . Meow Meow"

I look up to see a trash bag shoved between her butt cheeks strewn out behind her .... like a tail... Laughing

after a month of waiting, i finally got the new power supply for my laptop!

it's an old dell with some special plug, and the power supply just faded and died one day ... went around looking for a new one and after finding out it would be $75 later, just gave it to boyfriend, because it is a work computer - so we could get a new one for free, but i'd have to wait two to three weeks. what made me smile, really, was that i'd thought earlier today about nagging about it ... decided not to. somewhere around midnight, boyfriend goes, "oh - i brought something for you from the office" - he had FORGOTTEN about it. so i'm jumping up and down, uncontainable excitement, and he gives me the new power supply. without the electrical cord, which is probably sitting on a tech's desk still.

but then he gave me his cord.

that is, until his battery died.

heh.

Hi Francis, Spent too little time in Tashkent, and too much time in Ashgabat, but the travelogue will have to wait until I can set up my computer after our major house renovation in about two weeks.

Dance class tonight was just all-around smile-making.

Then I got home and Set told me about taking the dogs to the park, and stopping to watch the t-ball players for a bit. He said there was a tiny girl - great fielder - she could catch/stop any ball - then she'd walk over to first base and hand it to the player there to throw it. Gotta love a team player Very Happy

Went to the Town center after picking up kids from school. As I was waiting for my Americano from Starbucks my 3yo daughter "really" needed the rest room, told her 8yo brother to go with her. They did not return for quite a while. I Went to the ladies room and my son was there but no signs of the little one. Within a split second of "Where is She?" she stuck her neck from under the door of the rest room laying flat on the floor, " Here I am " As I exclaimed Please never lay on the bathroom floor, she effortlessly slided out, "Ok Mommy". My son puzzled at the situation, "Ahh Mom, I guess one of us will have to lay on the floor to go back and unlock the door" !!!!

terry doo made me smile.

(did you see where i referred to myself as an "abuzz refugee" today?)

{{{{{{{terry!}}}}}}}}}

also, we've been watching "coupling" - a british television <gasp> sitcom <gasp!> that ran for four years starting in 2000. we watch a couple episodes over dinner. it's pretty funny (read: HILARIOUS), but the season 3 finale really had me rolling on the kitchen floor. almost. but tears were streaming and i missed all dialog.

haven't had a really belly laugh of that magnitude in a while.
