My wife, younger son and I went to Santana Row in San Jose today, because my wife had an appointment at the shoe store. As we were walking back to the car, I found a $10 on the ground, and actually picked it up! he he he Gave it to my son.

It is 47 degrees here at 1 pm. We may have a new highest low temp for this date. (A couple days ago we were having low temp records.)

It is 11:58 pm EST and soon it will be midnight and that means it will be 1:00 am Daylight Savings time and all of your computers are going to crash. Good luck.

There's a New Balance shoe store at Santana Row, and they have a salesman that knows about the feet and how to make sure the shoe "fits" properly for the different activities you use your shoes for. Since I do a great deal of walking, I'm planning on make an appointment when I get back from my vacations. They have some nice looking walking shoes.

Pardon me, Mr. NIMH, but I'm dropping a link. I hope you don't mind. This should explain why sleep is such an important commodity to me these days.

Of course, you're all invited to share your own bad neighbor stories. That was the original intent of starting that thread. I guess the story itself just ballooned as I began to write.

George--

I'm jealous.

I don't have a yard yet, just an icy expanse.

I woke up actually laughing this morning. I was having this dream that I had jury duty. I'd been called in for a capitol murder case and got out of it by going into a huge rant (me rant?) about how I was a "card carrying liberal democrat who is so against the death penalty that I would never vote to convict if it meant that execution was an option....Now all of you get the hell out of my bedroom so I can get some sleep!" I was out of breath when I opened my eyes, thought I was having an asthma attack, remembered the dream, and took a deep breath.... I must have been talking in my sleep. Shocked

George--

Great news.

My spring bulbs are sprouting. The doors are open. The glaciers are receding.
