I love snow! Even getting stuck in it. Used to tour my neighborhood after a big snowfall with a shovel. Glad things worked out fine though.
What's making me smile just now is the fact that I'm having a heckuva time coming up with a parenting-themed sample blog entry for a job I'm applying for -- in other words, having a hard time coming up with what I do all the time here and on Sozlet Stories! Ridiculous. Part of it is the length (200-500 words), which is longer than my usual, part of it is that it's really hard to pick ONE tone or type, I'm kind of all over the place. (Anyone have a favorite sozlet story to nominate?)
I nominate the mad bluebird face:

Realjohnboy, who has this annoying habit of writing in the third person, notes this: he joined A2K on something like December 3rd, 2002. 2002. He was something like the 175th member to sign up.
Three years later he will, sometime in the next day or so, make his 2,000th post. Not 20,000th. 2000th. But he has certainly enjoyed being here.
If I don't bump into yall again in the next few days I wish yall a Merry Christmas or, if that is not politically correct, Season's Greetings or just a wish for a nice long weekend.
We may get snow here in the mountains of Virginia on Sunday. That would be sweet.
What made me smile today.....
My friend, who is a 250lb,hairy-ar$ed mofo you wouldn't wanna mess with, with tears in his eyes, after watching King Kong.Bless him
My doctor saying 'You have a very good looking liver'
It is 2am and I have been melting for the last week or so in a heatwave. A southerly buster has just ripped through and it is glorious! Like icy cold champagne! I can now go and get some sleep.
Yup, icy cold champagne here, too! I just dug out my car to put in the public garage. Unfortunately, I did not put it there on Monday evening and it snowed ever since. But it was wonderful out now - it is cold and the snow was very fluffy and nothing frozen to the car.
Found out I'm going to the Pats game saturday.
Listening to the Red Army Choir singing Stairway to Heaven while zipping around in my car yesterday. Very earnest!
... No smiles to report yet today.
The capital of Slovenia made you smile, lil'k? How?
First, Dagmaraka sent me an email saying she was headed there in March for a conference (I'd never heard of the place before that email), then it turned up on a top ten international cities for singles list. Twice in one day. Wierd.

LittleK, wait till you have seen Maribor!
What made me smile today was the guy who put his left-over Christmas dinner including a brussel sprout up for auction on e-bay.Top bid,so far,is £7,100 or $12,471 !
What a crazy world

The capital of Slovenia always makes me smile. Whenever I feel down, sad or depressed, when I feel out of luck or in deep ****, oppressed by the man or out of my depth, I just close my eyes and whisper: "lju- blja - na ... lju- blja - na ... lju- blja - na!", and I feel all-right, Lord I feel all-right!
Ljubljana ... <smiles>
The only thing better would be to hear the Red Army Choir sing Stairway to Heaven. Now that would be some trippy ****.
Friday morning traffic was light, that made me exhale, and the dj played "Loveshack" ...now that made me smile
nimh-
So I'm not the only one who uses the slang "trippy"
I'm smiling right now, because the girl I've been trying to work up the courage to ask out, asked ME out about thirty minutes ago.
(Ohh... my stomach hurts.)
echi, Breath in and out slowly.... take a deep breath, and let it out slowly....
