I'm smiling today because we celebrated Thanksgiving last Sunday when relatives were here, so I'll be finishing up the leftovers today instead of cooking like everyone else! Smile

How do you Yanks do it?

Thanksgiving (chaos, family, overeating, presents, gastro explosions etc)

....and then, four weeks later.....

Christmas! (chaos, family, overeating etc etc)

Bloody hell!

Me?....today, I had a small salad for lunch, and Bolognese for dinner. Not a turkey in sight.

I just received a very long email from a new friend from England. It surprised me, inspired me, gave my face the biggest smile, that I forgot my hurting tummy. My first open protector, and guru. Thank you for the beautiful long letter.

Is that an electronic message that, when opened, the recipient says "Gee!".

Came here to say what Eva already did, pretty much -- Thanksgiving is fine, but the leftovers rock! (Especially if you were the cook the first time around -- warming up turkey and stuffing in the microwave and serving up some nicely chilled cranberry sauce is much less labor-intensive than creating all of the above from scratch. Yum-my.)

Using a ruler at work.

It's kinda weird. I get so used to using technology that I sometimes forget how nice the feeling of doing some things really is.

I had a long list of things I was trying to keep track of as I was working along. Wanted to mark off the items as I was going down the page. Decided to pull out the ruler - and wow it felt good.

Kind of like the other day when I held a stack of music in my arms. I hadn't held a score for quite a while, and just knowing I could read it - follow along - make music out of what I was holding - made me feel really good. I often wonder if other people have the same emotional reaction to holding/reading a score.

I get that feeling from holding music, ehBeth!

I am smiling at the prospect of getting back to Boston by this evening. It's nice to see the family, but I've just about had my fill and I'm glad to be going home.

Is that set ehBeth? If it is, I thought he was older, and he is young.

That sort of flattery, and a buck-and-a-half, will get you a bus ride across town. Older than what?

ehBeth! Awesome pictures!! What a wonderful day you guys must have had.

Look at the grin on the doggie in the center picture and Set on the end. Priceless!!!

Adorable ...Adorable... Adorable!!

PS- Angelique? I think the reason that Set might have seemed older to you, is because of his knowledge base. He seems to know alot for his young years.

They are a kind of cute pack, aren't they Very Happy

Smiley Miss Cleopatra, a very sober Mr. Bailey and the not-toooo-ancient Setanta.

~~~~~
Maybe he's too young for me? Confused
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Brooke - Setanta says "Tell Brooke 'thanks, and she's a sweetie pie'".

~~~~~~~~~
It really was a great day to be a small dog yesterday - other than the need to eat dental kibble instead of the chicken breast they clearly felt they deserved.
I noted the exceptionally pearly whites on smileygirldog.
And if Set makes that last picture his avatar he won't be able to get anyone to be mad at him.
