Then try standing up when you smile.
[waves hand around, lights match]
Man Dys, you've been eatin' too many of those cowboy beans.
I was working with E today (a 3 y.o. for those who don't know). She asked me to make her lemonade, showed me the country time container on the counter. I read the label - there are no directions for making it by the glass.
Me: "What should we mix it in?"
She: "Mix it in with sugar."
Me: {with hand motions} I have the mix (left hand) and the water (right hand) and I pour them into......... (shrug)?"
She: "a glass"
Ok, so I read the directions again.
Me: "Ya wanna wing it?"
She: "No, I don't really like wingits."
Me: "What's a wingit?"
She: "{nonsense}"
Me: "I'm going to wing it."
She: "NoOOoo, I don't really like wingits."
I explain winging it, while I wing it. It was fine lemonade.
She: "Mommy and daddy never really wing it."
<giggles and grins from little k's story> Wingits are kewl.
What made me smile today was the nice men who were so helpful at Ace Hardware store.
They went out of their way to show me the type of hardware I needed and explained the difference in each.
Man, I love that store!
Watching the kitties watching a chameleon with both tails rapidly moving back and forth in unison.........God, they're so funny!
Misti - a natural what? A natural born wingit!
Today a very smug smile, nimh. I finished the NYT's crossword puzzle
Me, too! (All the answers were "aaaaaaaaaaaa," right?)
